Tried their products three times. Basil was moldy at purchase. Returned to store to get fresh and ever single plastic package had mold. Tried butter and romaine lettuce. Again, lots of plastic packaging that states no need to wash lettuce but you need to rinse it. What? Need to keep lettuce in constant, very cold refridgeration or it wilts. Then it wilts when you do the required rinse. The entire experience made a disgusting salad with an enormous amount of plastic waste. California can grow lettuce on the central coast year round but Gothem sets up a greenhouse in the Sac Valley where it gets 110* in the summer and fall to grow a cool season crop. What is the cost to cool those greehouses? The entire thing sounds ridiculous and wasteful to grow lettuce in a greenhouse when not needed here in California.

I am absolutely thrilled to have seen this Gotham Greens giant greenhouse! I love their produce (available at most major grocery chains including whole foods) and I love that they’ve taken an innovative approach to sustainable farming- go Gotham Greens!!!
