The Energy Audit with Green Detective was worth every penny! Another company quoted us $5k to remove "mold spores" in our home, but they could not tell us why we had mold in the first place nor where the moisture was coming from. Scott was thorough in his investigation. He showed us all of our problem areas on-site and a provided a follow-up report that listed his recommended solutions. Not only was his service impeccable, but he also saved us thousands of dollars on a service that would not have addressed the root cause of our issue. We hired Scott with Green Detective Energy Solutions to do an energy audit on our 1938 'old farmhouse' home. We were previously thinking of replacing our entire heat system, as our home was having such a difficult time staying warm in the winter, but after hiring Scott, we realized the issue was a huge amount of drafts/air leakage causing our warmth/energy issues and by insulating the proper places (we used NRV Insulation and were very happy with their work) and sealing drafty spots, our heating bill was reduced a couple HUNDRED dollars the first month. With the new insulation and Scott's skilled recommendations, our house stays warm without using excessive gas & electricity, and we are already saving a lot of money.
