As enthusiastic as I was at first installation, a few years has shown that the insulation in my attic has not impacted my heating bill at all. That was several thousand down the drain for none of the promised improvements in heat retention and lowered bills. I am much more conscious of my heat/AC now because of this and keep my thermostat ten degrees lower in the winter, I guess, on the bright side.

The water heater they installed also broke down, which is just lovely. Conveniently, Green doesn't help with parts or labor, that's a manufacturer thing. Rheem, the manufacturer, is similarly unhelpful.

I want to support green energy as a concept, but the problem is always having to worry about overpaying companies like this that seem to install shoddy products and sully the reputation of the industry.

Kevin and his team were great. We had a few companies come out for quotes and they just measured and sent a quote. Kevin offered explanations for everything he was doing and was honest about what made sense (even if it meant not doing as much work). He was a great communicator and was always on time. They offer great incentives through Ameren that help out the cost which helps immensely. Come install day, that team was also on time and they came in, started to work, and were out. They were very respectful and cleaned up after themselves. When comparing to other companies in the area...I would highly recommend at least having these guys out to take a look if you're undecided!

Green Homes evaluated our energy efficiency and supplied corrective measures to improve insulation, electricity usage and temp control. We are very happy with the results. Our home stays warmer at a lower setting in the winter and cooler at a higher setting in the summer. Over the past year we’ve saved anywhere from $40-$120 each month on our electric bill -which is HUGE considering our home runs completely on electric.
Green Homes was extremely professional and listened to our concerns. They were easy to work with and were timely with their call backs and appointments. We highly recommend!

This was not a “pushy” sales pitch, but a true assessment of our home to see where they could help us make necessary updates within our budget.
