John and Claire were great - knowledgeable, responsive, and quality work. They were the only solar company that didn't seem to just churn out the same system setup as all the others for our ground mount scenario. From trenching to PTO took around a month with constant updates on progress.

I highly recommend working with Greenfield Solar! My solar panels were installed in the fall of 2023, and has made a significant impact with my monthly electric bill. John, Claire and Stephanie assisted in providing education on available local solar loan programs and tax credits making this Mass Save project possible. Greenfield Solar is also timely and proficient with any questions/ concerns I had. It was a pleasure to have worked with Greenfield Solar and Torrico Electricians who installed the panels. I am forever grateful!

We have turned to the Solar Store for all our supplies, questions and service over the last six years. John and Claire have helped us with everything from setting up an off-grid micro-solar system for a yurt to installing a grant-funded 2.2 kW off-grid pole mount for our farm. They are kind, professional, knowledgeable and have been in the solar business for a long time. Highly recommend!

Claire and John designed and installed a solar PV system for my home 5 years ago. They did excellent work, cost less, and had everything done on time. They were also cheerful and fun to work with. The one time my system went down, John was there the same day figuring it out. I highly recommend them!

We have spent quite a bit of time sourcing a solar contractor. The large businesses that we have had past experiences with were not pleasant and when we found this local company who was extremely professional and responsive to our needs mid pandemic we have been nothing but pleased and satisfied. We had unique challenges that the Solar Store of Greenfield adapted to and overcome all obstacles we had with our property and building. We would recommend this company to anyone who is ever looking for a professional installation.

The Solar Store In Greenfield is the place to go solar. They take their responsibilities seriously long after the original installation. 6 years after installation we had a couple of bolts come down. We also had a problem with a ice dam the way the original hook up had been done. When we asked, they sent a electrician to redo the set up and a crew to make sure the solar was solidly installed. The solar store and the contractor did all this for us, We also realized that we needed some stops on the metal roof to break up the snow so it wouldn't fall in large clumps. This was an additional expense but well needed and very reasonably priced.

John and Claire know what they are doing---they have been in this business since before most people knew the advantages of solar, and their in-depth understanding of today's equipment choices is rooted in this history. They designed and installed the perfect system for our site on time and on budget. It was very comforting to work with such kind and experienced experts. I highly recommend them for anyone who wants personal, experienced guidance throughout the entire process.

"Extremely Helpful and Friendly". I dropped in one weekend and took a look at what this store had to offer, very very progressive. I'm a local Greenfield student studying at GCC as an Civil/ Environmental Engineer. I have always wanted to stop by to take a better look at Solar Store. I was pretty impressed with what they had. These folks had plenty of solar panels ranging from small and portable to the professional, full sized hot water/ solar panels. They stock quality built products that are built for the long haul. What was really great was they have competitive pricing to match, even beating what is sold online. When browsing the interwebs I notice the bigger retail sites push shoddy "dollar store" junk as a cheap solar solution. [S&H is what you're really paying for.]

As a engineer geek, I have always gravitated towards problem solving and more efficient technologies. I aways liked teh idea of alternative energies but felt it was not a viable mainstream solution, due to its upfront cost. Upon listening to what the latest generation of green had to offer, I began to rethink this. I think everyone is able to afford to lower their power bills. Solar store is cool having a section dedicated to L.E.D. light bulbs, also very reasonably priced.

Online I've seen these type of bulbs going for ~$60 for a 40-65 watt incandescent equivalent. On the shelves they had bulbs going for 1/5 the online prices starting with $12 (not even Depot Homes had ones this strong), these were wicked powerful. They had a demo with these modern bulbs, I was amazed at how bright they were. Even more impressive is just how little power they draw. Even CF bulbs with a 1/4 of "normal" bulbs these L.E.D's were 3-5 times more efficient than their CF counterparts. I applaude them for offering this to teh everyday consumer. (Remember how much the CF's were when they first hit the market?) Just like CF's, as time passes I'm sure LED's will keep coming down.

Other than the solar and lighting selection, they have about a dozen yellow 5 gallon containers filled BIO-Fuel and clean heating for us that live in New England. I really see this store going places in the coming years as people seek other methods to satisfy the ever growing energy needs. I was compelled to write this review as I like to share with everyone how great this place really is. If anyone else has been there they know how wonderful this store really is, and not just for Greenfield but for all of Franklin County. oh and one last thing, they got this friendly dog that always wants to play frisbee. Lucky for the dog the "Energy Park" is right down the street... Keep it up Solar Store! =D ~Them bikes are pretty Awesome too~
