I spoke with Gloria over the phone about my recycling not getting picked up and she felt the need to speak down to me. All I asked was for someone to come and take my recycling since they didn’t complete emptying on the assigned day. Apparently the groot vehicle operator doesn’t even look to see if they completely empty the bin, they just let the machines do all the work without thinking about it. I’m grateful for the timely services of groot, but not the experience I’ve been having lately.

I called front for the second time after not receiving a bill from the company and made my one time payment over the phone got my confirmation number and called the company back to inform them that I had made the payment Yet they didn’t like that I had made my payment without giving them my credit card information over the phone to the receptionist who was talking to me and she told me that I needed to make an additional payment with her over the phone or they would be canceling my service with groot which would be coming up in a couple of days. As I continued to say that I had not received a bill from the company in the last 6 months and I would really appreciate a new bill be sent out she said that they would not send it out and that I’m the only person in my area who has this problem and then continued to say that I needed to make a additional payment even though I have a confirmation number for my full payment I just made. She said that everyone else makes extra payments and that I need to make the payment if I expect to get my services done.

I just spoke to a representative who was very snippy and rude. Someone stole our trash can and when I called to complain about it asking if I could get a new trash bin, because the garbage man gave us someone else's, they told me that I would have to pay $30 because someone stole ours. And that they were not responsible. I told them the number that they gave us they already have a trash bin. Why can't they just come get that one and trade us out. They told me no. I would have to pay for it because someone stole mine. That makes no sense to me. Not only that the rep kept me online for almost 30 minutes and when he did call me back, that's when he told me that information. I have never seen a more incompetent company in my life. First you give me the wrong trash can from someone else, then someone steals my original trash can and I have to pay. Definitely not good customer service.

I signed for what I understood as temporary dumpster service while reconstructing my farmhouse and ended up locked into a 5 year contract before I even got the house finished or the intended rehab program off the ground. COVID made the program impossible to execute, yet they would not renegotiate their contract and during that period my rates tripled. During that period they also picked up when they felt like it, attempted to charge me beyond the contract and had to be contacted repeatedly before finally picking up their dumpster. Groot has well-established itself as yet another vulture business.

Usually they’re fine but I’ve been requesting a new can for weeks now. Mine is busted from being thrown on the ground by their employee and no one is getting it done. Sooo frustrating and their AI voicemail is useless

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to my driver today! We had a mattress and box spring to get rid of but we couldn’t get the mattress to stay folded, you still took it all! Thank you again!

For getting paid $50000+ a year with union benefits and having smashed up 5 of our cans in the last 3 years with no consequences they have it made.

We have no recourse and very few options.

Maybe try to take a little bit of pride from time to time.

We do not intentionally try to put out garbage that is disgusting when you grab it, if you must, and try to have everything in some type of bag.

We do love having the left over garbage all over the yard when our partially emptied cans are tossed in the ditch when the guys feel like it.

We don't call it in because the managers there basically tell us everything is our fault for whatever happens. We should be grateful our fees have not yet gone over $100 for the quarter yet.

Lidia from customer service helped me today. She made it easy to apply for a senior discount and automatic payment. She even emailed me with confirmation that she received documentation for the discount. Thanks for the great service.
