Cut power off to condo we were renting. Contacted owner, who promptly paid, was told lights would be back on in 2 hours ( by 4pm) I personally called power company to let them know I had a child with special needs and wheel chair bound. They said the lights should be on by 7pm ( 3 hours later than told). Now it is 8pm still no power. Horrible company, with horrible service.

For starters FPL doesn’t even deserve 1 star. I moved so I changed my address and had my new house set up with power what I didn’t realize is they would bill me on a new account so I’ve been waiting to pay on the account I’ve already had set up. I then got and email saying my bill was overdue and they charged me and extra 200 dollars!! I never received my new account number I never received and email or text saying I had a bill due the only way I was able to pay my bill is when I got the overdue notice because it had my new account number on it. I obviously wanted to contact customer support to see if they could wave the fee since I was unable to pay the bill until it was already past due yet I could not get on the phone with anyone!! And the automated system obviously doesn’t give me the option to address the issue I’m having, so now I have to pay an extra 200 dollars for no reason. How are we supposed to resolve issues if we can’t speak to anyone who can fix it!!! This is the most frustrated I’ve ever been dealing with a company. The icing on the cake I can’t go somewhere else I have to pay this scamming money hungry company because it is the only way I will have power for my house. Something needs to change all the terrible reviews with all the horror stories and one common theme no one can fix their issues because there is no one they can talk to!

Opened a new business, we had one incorrect number and they then shut off our ability to correct the banking info and pay via ach. Now telling us we have to pay with cash for a whole year. 0 ability to help their customers who are trying to pay their bills on time. We have called 7 times and no one is willing to help us. Telling us that no one in their entire company is able to make it right for their customers by correcting our bank information. Terrible company terrible service.

Came to my house without notice, destroyed my yard, and then broke my power, trying to fix the neighbor house. Once again no notice or explanation, just a temp cable running across my yard for over 2 weeks. Comes out again destroyed more of my yard, broke my power box and cut my solar off and didn't cut it back on. Now they won't me to pay for the power bill, and didn't fix my yard or powerbox and say they have nothing to do with it, because it was people they hired and not them. If I had a choice, I wouldn't use them, but I guess when you have a monopoly, you don't have to care about customers.

On 1/09/24 just before 6am my condo in Panama city beach was hit by a tornado. Today on 1/11/24 the ELEVEN power polls that were snapped like toothpicks are replaced and fully equipped. Power is back on, Gulf power is now fixing our buildings electric connection that was damaged. We will be fully back up in less than 72 hours after the tornado!

I got a notice today (10/27/21) that says I have until 11/5/21 to pay a past bill or my power will be shut off. I paid this bill in early October, and have a photocopy of my canceled check to prove it. I called them today and found it's impossible to speak with a live person. Tomorrow I'm going to a payment center and showing my proof of payment. If I don't get results I'll be getting in touch with our state Attorney General to file and take legal action. This company is either grossly negligent, or intentionally committing fraud. And since others are claiming to be overcharged, it is fraud. I cannot log in to my account because it says I don't have an email address. I use my email address as my user ID! So I have to call their number just to make a payment.

Worst electrical company i have ever had. They cut my power off over 168 dollars. I have 3 young children with 500 dollars worth of food in fridge. I paid bill when the guy that cut it off was still in parking lot of my apartment. This was at 2:30 They sent him a notification to turn it back on. This power guy didn't turn around to turn our power back on. I am sitting here it is 7 o'clock. Still no power even though we paid the bill. I am beyond mad. If this company can't take care of paying customers. Then they need to sell the company ti someone who cares about there customers.

I did not receive an invoice so I tried many times to talk to someone to no avail. Then I received a past due notice with a late payment. Again I tried to talk to someone. I finally got through to someone after several attempts only to find that I had to go online to pay. Well I was charged a huge late fee which I should not have to pay. I paid the amount that was on the LATE STATEMENT! Now today I got an email stating I was still past due and they added $60 more !!! AND the recording will not recognize my account number! There are no prompts to actually speak to someone!! VERY Poor business system!!!
