Our 1984 house had original fiberglass insulation in the attic, so our roofer recommended getting it up to code. We got a few quotes, but some had additional things that added to the cost and we felt were unnecessary. HEC added foamboard to our knee wall into the living area, installed vent chutes to the outside soffit vents, air sealed openings to the ceiling below, dammed around the attic access opening, and added blow-in cellulose insulation which covered all the joists/pipes and achieved code (R49). Efficient, polite, ready to answer questions, and reasonably priced...Did the job within four hours, and they seem to know their stuff.
