I have bought and used HP printers since 1983. The price and service was excellent. Then came AI and HP Smart. Invasion of privacy and monitoring my printer use under guise of service. Getting tired of receiving ink cartridges, I don't need. Had to get a new printer a couple of months ago and the instructions said to install HP Smart. I chose not to, did not connect with WiFi and used a cord to link with my PC. Called Help at HP and got same answer. Install the HP, spyware. He said I could not avoid it. So, here it goes, I opened my Settings and simply installed the drivers for the printer. Not boasting. Just that the helper lied to me. HP is now part of the cabal of huge companies like, Microsoft, Google, Facebook, WhatsApp to spy on my computer. Folks I am moving to Apple. At least only they do similar things and charge more. But I will not have dozens of companies trying to spy on me.

HP Smart Tank 7602 - if you want to scan a document from the printer glass to your computer files - FORGET BUYING THIS!! No Can Do. Can SCAN ONLY to your email. Called Customer Service - spent 3 hours one day with a myriad of people who had no idea what was wrong - transferred amongst 6 different "customer service" people....and finally concluded it was a "software" issue and needed a higher level of customer service.
Promised that someone would call back the next day - NOPE! No Call Back. So, we called directly the next day - the case # that we were given to use and that someone supposed to forward for the extra help....the case was CLOSED OUT!!! Started over with another 3 hours of run around to be told the computer CAN'T do that!! Trying to get someone in a supervisory position to discuss this with.....another runaround. Basically, too bad - so sad. No help. No one else to talk to.....in all of HP printers - absolutely no one!!! Coincidentally, they were also "just going off duty" and wouldn't be able to contacted again. RUN AWAY as fast as you can from this product.

I have been dealing with "tech support" for a printer used a few times and 2 years old and HP. It is a nightmare dealing with two or more people who do NOT speak idiomatic English, who each send one or more emails a day saying they are trying to help you and who are doing zero. The "paper deal" that they monitor from their end makes everything more difficult, and if you better use your printer a lot because they don't tell you that the ink drys up and has to be replaced frequently. And they used to be a good company!

It's just such an awful country - tries to wheedle customers into contracts they can't easily get out of, printers so often don't work, just focused on dollars instead of customer happiness. Just feel like HP consistently makes the world a worst place, a general business strategy - which I'm sure is very profitable, it's just unfortunate.

Making HP printer to connect to your PC and print&scan documents must be a form of torture in hell.

Some of the worse personal computers in existence, quality is trash, software is trash, customer service is even worse. Sent a new laptop in under warranty for a noisy fan when idle, got it back with a noisy fan but on top of that they overtightened the dispaly henge screws making it near impossible to open and close without stressing the cheap plastic holding in the display. Will definitely never recommend their products
