My furnace stopped working and after troubleshooting, I figured there was a part that needed to be replaced that was beyond my comfort level to DIY. Hoekstra said they'd have someone out within the hour. After they asked the make and age of the furnace they informed that they could still come out, but suggested I call someone else that is an authorized dealer for my brand as it would potentially be covered by the warranty still.

They could have said nothing and made a couple hundred easy bucks from me, but instead lost a little bit of business in the short-term. I'll definitely be coming back to them when it's time for a new furnace!

Regrettably, I am unable to recommend Hoekstra. In late November, a technician visited my residence due to a heating issue. The technician diagnosed the problem as a malfunctioning flame sensor that required cleaning. Two and a half months later, the same issue resurfaced, prompting me to schedule an appointment. Upon contacting the representative over the phone, they informed me that according to the technician, my unit necessitated maintenance, which included cleaning the flame sensor. If this was indeed the root cause, why did the technician not perform the necessary maintenance during the initial visit? Consequently, Hoekstra is now requesting payment for a service that could have been resolved in a single visit. Although the representative was not unprofessional, their lack of concern for finding a solution or referring me to a qualified individual was evident. Hoekstra has lost a long term customer.

Tyler called in advance and advised me of the time he would arrive. He arrived exactly at the time he said. Tyler asked to see the area where the install was to be performed then explained the install process. Tyler was careful when bringing in his equipment ensuring that he did not bump into furniture, etc. Tyler answered all of my questions. After completing the install he cleaned up the area, again taking care in removing the old unit and tools without bumping into furniture etc. Tyler was VERY professional; he did a GREAT job. He represented your company VERY well. In short, his customer service was OUTSTANDING. He is certainly one to consider for advancement within your organization including training newly hired installers and/or management opportunities.
