Hotel was 10/10. Quiet, clean, good showers, spacious, fridge, couch, breakfast offerings. Female worker was friendly. A burger/breakfast place is right next door. You could walk ten mins to a bakery, taco places, grocery store.

My only complaint is the heater was startling when it kicked on.

This was my first time staying at this hotel, and it is indeed a hotel, not a motel. There is no hotel lobby and to enter the hotel you enter thru the main entrance and up a few steps. The office and reception are at the top left of those stairs.
The hotel itself is a few years old, but has aged well. It has all the modern conveniences you would expect, but because it is older, the rooms are more spacious than 'modern' hotel rooms. There are nights stands and tables with lamps, a large flat screen TV with Directv, a mini fridge, a coffee pot, and my room had a sitting area with a sleeper sofa. I liked the room and have every intention of staying with them again. I paid about $84.00 per night, with tax. I found the owners to be very helpful, and they provided a map to get to Carizzo. In the morning, there is fruit, some packaged breakfast snack cakes and coffee and tea bags available for takeaway, self service style. All in all I had a very pleasant stay. I do recommend this hotel. Sorry about the photos. I forgot to take them when i checked in, so I took them before I checked out.

Clean room, all items work, plenty of space. Somewhat limited parking. Blackout curtains if you need to sleep late, room air conditioner. Minimal decor, has in room TV( did not use), Microwave and small refrigerator also in the room; WiFi is good. Quiet area, a few blocks off the main road. Relatively close to eating places.

I booked a room at this hotel based on the reviews, and they did not disappoint! The owners bought the hotel 2 years ago and have only made it better. They are a lovely couple. The room was clean and the beds and pillows were comfortable. Water pressure was great in the shower! The TV was large and new. In the morning there were assorted pastries, fresh bananas and coffee. For being in the middle of nowhere, they do a pretty good business and it's obvious why. I'll definitely stay there again next time I'm out that way.

The owners bought the hotel 2 years ago and have continued to make improvements. They are a lovely couple. The room was clean and the beds and pillows were comfortable. Water pressure was great in the shower! The TV was large and new. In the morning there were assorted pastries, fresh bananas and coffee. Just an FYI, the pool is no longer there though. It has been converted into a patio for cooking out. For being in the middle of nowhere, they do a pretty good business and it's obvious why. I'll definitely stay there again next time I'm out that way.

I love this little place! I stayed here during Christmas while I was in town and have stayed a few times before. The owners are the nicest people and always welcome me with a smile. The rooms I've had are always very clean and really good size. The front door to the hotel automatically locks so no one can just wonder into the hotel which is awesome. Every morning, there is coffee, pastries and fruit out for the guests. The WIFI works great as well! The beds are very comfortable too! The price can't be beat. This is absolutely my home away from home when I'm in Taft visiting. I highly recommend it!
