Nice spot, spacious. You can tell they put some money into the place. The food was pretty good too. We had the boudin balls app and it was crunchy and savory rounded out well by the relish. The brisket had a good bark and a good pull. Honestly, pretty good and it's hard to find a good brisket. The chicken sandwich was really good too, dark meat in a well seasoned dredge fried perfect. The seafood stew wasn't a stew consistency at all. Not bad, not great but not bad. The beers were good too. Support local business and go in and grab one

A decent place. We went in the early afternoon. So they only have a limited menu. From 2pm to 4 pm. After that, they go back to a full menu as well as valet parking and free pictures when you walk in. The staff were friendly. It's a spacious place. The food was good. The drinks were great. We will definitely come back again. They even suggested you go upstairs to view the hand painted mural. Definitely worth a stop in.

I’ve finally checked out this new gem and so far I am impressed. When you walk in, the staff greets you. I’ve went during the kick off of dinner. Their spin on French 75 is amazing and I recommend the Shrimp and Grits dinner which is made from scratch! It gives that Deep South vibe home cooked meal. The ambiance is amazing along with the artwork. Much love to gentlemen that takes a free photo. It feels like a mini photo shoot. As for service, the service is great. However, my server TC in my opinion needs to be attentive. It appears that she is more open to a regular. It took another barmaid to place my order and I even tipped her. I give them a pass because I assume that they all are working together as a team.

Would I come back? Of Course!

The experience was Meh, the Wait time on a Saturday was an hour and they have mandatory valet service even though you can just drive around to the building next door. I don't advise getting the "crab cakes" even though it's advertised as cakes it's only 1 for $17. The kitchen was behind so our wait for food was long, so I ordered the brisket with Mac and cheese. The brisket was fatty and the mac was obviously made and topped with the cheese. My wife had the shrimp which was fine, in all I will not be returning this was a disappointing date night.

Fairly new brewpub in downtown Homewood owned and run by the family of the late Juice WRLD. Seating is a little limited but they do take reservations.
There’s also a bar on the second floor and a seasonal rooftop bar. The menu isn’t huge but there’s plenty to choose from. Big selection of beer on tap, but don’t pass on the Carmed and Dangerous rum punch. It’s amazing. The shrimp & grits were spectacular, super creamy grits with a gumbo sauce and grilled shrimp. Generous portion. My daughter had the seafood stew which she really liked but the portion was super tiny. Definitely more like a starter portion. My son had the shrimp po boy which he enjoyed, except the bun fell apart. We will definitely be back. Give it a try.

This review was hard for me to do because I was really rooting for this establishment. Came here with a friend on Feb. 19th, 2025 to participate in Chicago Black Restaurant Week as this was a featured restaurant. The outside of the restaurant looked nice and there is a private lot with ample parking. Walked in and a friendly young lady at the front counter seated us and explained the menu along with telling us that there was a second level with a pinball machine which excited me.

Inside the restaurant is a MASSIVE and beautifully created space. There is black art inside. There is a great selection of soul music playing which we enjoyed while dining. You can tell the place is fairly new. When asked, Samuel our waiter told us the restaurant opened in October, 2024. We started off ordering drinks. Rum Punch was on the menu which is a bit unique for a restaurant to offer so I decided to try it. I had to send it back as it wasn't sweet or tasted like any alcohol was in it. I instead got a lemondrop martini which is a favorite drink of mine. It was better than the rum punch but I definitely have had better of that particular drink.

We ordered our food from the Restaurant Week menu. We noticed that it took awhile for both our appetizer and main entree to come out. When it did, the server apologized each time for the delay. While I appreciated that, I have noticed that it's a common complaint expressed on Yelp reviews. It would be different if the food was worth the wait but unfortunately, it wasn't. The boudin ball appetizer I didn't like but that was my first time trying that dish so it may have been just personal taste. The muffuletta skewers had a bit too much deli meat and cheese on it. There were minced olives on the sandwich that gave a strong flavor to it that wasn't favorable to me. The shrimp and grits were okay - grits were not creamy like they should be and the entree was salty. My friend had the roast chicken that came with potatoes that were purple for some reason and sauteed green beans. She expressed that her meal was meh so we went from being excited for our meals to come to being both disappointed with our food. The restaurant was closing soon so Samuel encouraged me to place my requested take out order ASAP so I ordered the Cornmeal fried shrimp for my hubby. It came with seasoned fries. Even that wasn't a winner - the fries were not crispy and hubby said the entree was just "okay" which I know means it wasn't that good.

Our waiter Samuel never checked on us during our entire meal. When I told him prior about the rum punch not being good, he asked "Well, what's wrong with it?" when I had already expressed that it wasn't sweet or strong enough. There was another black male waiter who we wished we had had instead because he was so friendly and personable to the table next to us.

The chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich dessert was okay. It would of been better if the cookies were warm.

All in all, the venue is phenomenally built. The room with the clear glass to see where all the new big brewing equipment is from the outside is a sight to see! It would be great for tours to be offered. I'm sure this new venue needs time to get all the kinks out of their new business. We didn't view the 2nd floor - staff had already turned all the chairs on top of the tables to indicate they were closing (which I didn't like since we were still dining at the time). I'm personally hoping they succeed and make the necessary improvements needed.

What a beautiful place. The drinks are next level, Wishing Well was by far the best Bohemian Pilsner. We got soup and a pretzel for lunch and it was all insanely delicious. Homemade cheese dining sauce to the elegant and rich beer cheese soup 👨‍🍳. I only wish I lived closer to eat here more often.
Until then, wishing well and tasty meals with excellent service to you all. A must eat for sure.
