I am 75 years old and, in my entire life, I have never dealt with a business that operates with more integrity and professionalism than IGT Solar. There is a long story behind this but suffice to say that IGT not only stood behind their guarantees but spent thousands of dollars of their own money to ensure them. My 19 year old grandson is starting a car detailing business. We spoke recently about how you operate a business with integrity and how you build a customer base and customer loyalty. I used IGT as my example. I recommend them to anyone who wants to install an efficient, fully-operational solar system. Without reservation.

We hired IGT to install home solar in early 2024. After an on-site discussion with Brendan Draper, we agreed on a system with a Sol Ark 15 inverter used as a whole-home backup. We paired 15kwh battery capacity to exceed the inverter capacity and a 7.4kw DC array and offset our annual consumption. The next step was reviewing pricing and contract details with Walter Liebrich.

The most crucial step of this entire process was advance research. I had limited knowledge about home solar, so I viewed YouTube videos and read home solar publications. I also met with a IGT customer via word of mouth in town. He gave IGT an excellent review detailing the installation and the necessary adjustments to operate. Our installs were similar in that we also integrated a whole-house generator. This preparation helped me ask all the functional-type questions to ensure the system would operate as expected.

The entire process took 8 and 1/2 months from start to finish. Your timeline may vary depending on how your municipality processes applications and conducts inspections. Overall, I am pleased with IGT's system design and the installation of the panels and inverter. The generator controller linked to the inverter required additional tweaking, but IGT completed that, and everything works seamlessly. Using a locally owned solar installer with IGT's technical expertise is essential.

IGT worked with us, step-by-step, in planning, perfecting, and installing our >30 kw system with battery back-up. Also, having IGT guiding our project through the permit process with our local government was a tremendous benefit. We have had our system for about 2 years, and IGT continues to monitor its performance, and correct the very rare issues that have arisen at no charge ( e.g., I have once got a call from IGT telling me that one of the micro-inverters on the roof was not reporting data, and would it be okay if someone were to stop on by to check it out/repair it.). If you live in the Tallahassee area, and you are thinking about solar, IGT is the way to go. IGT will not only design and install a great solar system, but they will stand by it long after the work trucks drive away.

I could not be happier with the solar arrays that IGT installed for us in our backyard. The construction is incredibly solid, and the panels/inverters are of high quality. There is no doubt that this thing will still be standing after a major hurricane! Hats off to Jordan for working with me on the design and getting our financing in order. Its been a real pleasure watching the whole process of putting something like this in, from building the racks, to digging the trench to run the powerlines, to the actual panel installs... These guys are pro's, and they stand by their products and services! I look forward to working with them again in the near future on a battery system and possibly solar water heaters. 😉

I interviewed 3 companies before selecting Independent Green Technology (IGT) Solar to install my panels. They designed a great system. They showed up on time, did a great job, it looks good and it works great. The system works so good I have not paid an electric bill since the system was turned on. We have survived 3 hurricanes and had enough power to keep my important items running. I like that I can go on the web and see how much electricity we are making. The system works so good that I bought a Volt electric car and did not have to buy gas for 3 months because the car ran on solar. The system has already paid for itself and now I am making money off it. This is a better investment than my retirement fund. I was so happy with IGT that I insisted they let me help them design and sell solar.

IGT installed 21 solar panels on my home and did a great job. They handled everything; design, permitting, coordinating with roofer (put new roof on at the same time), negotiating interconnect agreement with power company, and educating me, the consumer, on how it all would work.
It was IGT that advised me of the 30% federal tax credit.
And the really good part about this story? - the results exceeded the projections on what my rate of return would be - or how fast I will pay it off. Going a little faster than projected!
So if you're thinking of using solar I highly recommend you check out IGT.

IGT has been great for us, and we were excited to be able to work with a local company. A representative talked with me on the phone and answered all my questions, staying on as long as it took. During the site visit, again they stayed with me as long as it took to get all my questions answered, including discussions about potentially adding more panels or batteries in the future. They were upfront and clear about all costs included, and helped out by sourcing components that were discounted with a manufacturer promotion. Our system has been up and running about a year, and it hasn't missed a beat, saving us lots of money by generating credits with Duke Energy. The remote monitoring is a great feature.
