Ben did a great job of replacing my inverter! Over the last 2 years, since first installed, inverters were updated, so it was not just a swap out! Ben made sure that everything was working properly and showed me before he left! Outstanding customer communication and workmanship! Thanks Ben!!

We are very pleased with the installation of our solar system. We had a couple of hiccups with getting the panels but Michelle and Ben were very professional when dealing with this. The installer, Will was friendly and a very hard worker. I will be glad to recommend IM Sustainable.

Update : We are into the second year after installing and so very pleased. Our Ameren bill is $12 every month ( base delivery charge) . The system is performing well and I highly recommend using IM Sustainable .

A great experience. Michelle was our contact person and she was fantastic. Every step of the way she told us what she was going to do and then she did it. Ben and the team worked extremely hard on the installation, on some ridiculously hot days, and acted like pros. We researched and reviewed 5 different companies, landing on IM Sustainable as our choice, and could not be happier.

A year later: I couldn’t have been more wrong. The great communication I thought I was getting was just an attempt to make a sale. We ended up having a terrible experience and wouldn’t even consider buying from them again. Hard pass.

Another update: I just received a phone call from their engineer because he wanted me to change my review. I explained the reasons why I wouldn’t. He got very combative and said I should expect a lawsuit. So let the buyer beware.

IM Sustainable was referred to me by a friend. I had started with a quote from another group but found out they didn't have the correct paperwork for Illinois. I'm happy that they didn't I don't think there is another company that could have done a better job then Ben on keeping me informed every step of the way. Ben and Will were very professional while onsite installing the system they went above and beyond on my installation.
Michelle knew the process and procedures for Illinois and Amren. She took care of all paperwork as promised and always responded promptly to my questions which there were a large amount of. I would recommend them to friends and family.

Our system was activated on 03/18/19 by Ameren. In the 12 month period ending 04/27/20, I paid $22.22 for 393 kwh of electricity used (March billing) plus $15.99 for delivery charges, taxes and fees, thus I am pleased with the system installed by IM Sustainable. I do pay Ameren a monthly meter and customer charge of approximately $14 per month. In the 12 month period prior to activation, I had paid $1379 to Ameren for delivery, kwh's, taxes and fees. In the 12 months prior to activation, we used and paid for 12,159 kwh's compared to 393 kwh's in the last 12 months. As long as the sun shines, we are making electricity. Go solar.

They did a fantastic job on installing our 6.4kW array and Tesla Powerwalls. We installed in Fall of 2020 and prior to being on-site everything relied on Google earth and photos to have a plan for panel and equipment placement. With the first hour the install found a few things in how they could install the panel and save some items that would have required some lawn repair for me. Additionally they were willing to go out of their way on some placement and piping requests for the outside meter boxes and placement of the Tesla panels. Truly a custom customer focused install. They too their time, explained things to me and we’re meticulous in keeping the job site clean and safe while doing the complex install of panels and equipment over a few days.

Thank you for the amazing upgrades you did to our home and quality as you did them!
