I love libraries in general however this one is super spacious. Since the remodel I love it even more. On every visit I'm amazed at how many more books 📚 and new technology that I see. If I could I would build a home out of a library and live there forever. It has and always will be my favorite place on earth 🌍.

This is a very nice building, however... there is way too much noise permitted throughout the library. Besides loud people gathered in the cafe area right next to the computers, people on the computers are allowed to talk with others and on their phones very loudly. Positively, two employees, Bhargavi and Anthony, do a great job of professionally and courteously instructing loud patrons to be quiet. Anyway, the noise disruptions, which are monitored and stopped at other local libraries, need to stop for the benefit of many patrons who need to and have the right to work and study in a quieter atmosphere.
Regarding your request to connect with someone regarding the constant noise. A connection was made without resolve. It was stated that noise is permitted! Incredibly, one loud person was recently allowed to disrupt eleven others without anything being done about it. Four people complained about the patron's noise. Staff claimed there was nothing they would do about it. Three patrons walked out! This should not happen!

One the best libraries anywhere. Children’s section separated from adults. Recent renovations very helpful. Events include astronomy. Lots of interest groups include garden and other clubs. Actual garden surrounding the building is phenomenal, with pergola & seating area, rock garden and raised containers for flowers, crops.

My first time going there with my toddler. Very happy. The staff and specially Ms.Heather was very polite ,welcoming and helpful .My baby's got welcome sticker and she very excited .my daughter loved it.looking forward to go frequently

Wonderful library with wide range of programs, events, a Maker's Studio, and various clubs and classes. Lots of computer/scanner/printer access This library makes a conscious effort to update and provide for user needs.

I thought he library was initially small. It looked soo big form the outside. However i'v learned they UTILIZE their space prbly the best I've seen. ( I go to a lot of libraries, university ones, medical ones, law libraries, public ones. ) I have to say for the space they utilize it very well.

There are plenty of books, you see other library's selling or throwing away paperbacks and hardcopies, love to see them still here. and A WIDE, AMAZING VARIETY of books to choose from I have not seen at other places. Something for everyone.

Best Thing is they have plenty of study tables and private desks along the walls of the place, with no talking zones sings posted people ACTUALLY follow. Other places..... well people could care less and will make a disturbance or loud soungs, here its quiet.

I wouldn't mind more tables to study as they get busy and occupied

Went to the Library after a long walk, and Anthony at the Tech desk was very rude and disrespectful. He was slamming things down on the table and acting very irritated when I asked for assistance. Darien Public Library if your employees don't like working with the public, they shouldn’t work there! DO BETTER!
