The desk staff especially the young woman who was there when I registered and seemed to work a 16-hour day was fabulous. ||However the room was not up to expectations they were cobwebs on the ceiling and actual shoe marks on the wall. The hotel room looked as though it need to be painted. The floor was not clean. The bathroom was not clean and the toilet moved and made a loud sound whenever you sat down. The refrigerator was not working but they did replace it which should have been taken care of before check in. ||The highlight of the stay was the restaurant and bar. Two thumbs up for all the wait staff and bartender. Food and drinks were great. ||The pool jacuzzi area definitely needs a locking system for guest. While we were there it was invaded by local teenagers who were drinking, smoking pot and talking obscenely. It was sheer craziness not expected and hard to deal with. This put a damper on the entire vacation.||Yes a very mixed review because there were some extreme highlights and some extreme low lights. ||Location was perfect for me, it was walking distance to everything and beautifully surrounded by forest.

I live locally and needed a place to stay while some work was being done on my house. And since I love a pool I booked a room at The Inn last week. The pool here doesn't disappoint, nor does the hot tub. And I got a room within feet of the pool, so I was very happy. My room was fine, with a very comfortable bed and plenty of room for just me, as needed. But there was no light over the mirror (over the sink) and due to a mini wall to the left of the "vanity" it made it awkward to do my make up. I survived. But I still think a light of some kind would be useful. I did not go to the bar nor restaurant. The gentleman who spoke with me over the phone, on the day of my reservation, and who checked me in, is tremendous at his job. He is adept and patient, not once losing composure nor acting unprofessional. And I say this because he was BUSY!!!! I can say for my that I received excellent service. I sincerely hope management recognizes this in him, as he is an asset to this business.

Such a beautiful property! Front desk was so friendly and helpful. Website was easy to use and you can filter by pet friendly rooms.

Location was perfect. It's a few minutes from the packed, touristy downtown. It borders a state park with golf course, the Bay, and a heron conservation park/rookery (suggestion: wear a hat if you walk on the trail by the heron park that leads to the water).

Our room had gorgeous views and a fireplace.

Bar and restaurant were beautiful and have huge bay views and views of Morro Rock. Hot tub and heated pool.

Only potential con is no AC in our room, which probably won't matter more than a few days a year as it's so close to the ocean it stays mild. Temp was perfect for us.

We booked one of the best rooms in the place with a full bay view. The view and the little deck were awesome. Whomever maintains the landscaping is dong a very nice job too. The environs looked really nice. The room was awful. It smelled really funny. If you are a boarding type person, it smelled like below decks on a 100 year old wooden boat. Active mold growing in the bathroom. Just gross. The view in the restaurant bar area is amazing. The wait staff are a combination of incompetent or rude. We came in for a drink Saturday night at 8:05 (yes eight oh five) and were rudely and dismissively told the bar closed at 8. Awful. My advice is avoid this place. The view is NOT worth it.

This little place is a hidden gem!! The pics don’t do it justice. The grounds are simple but clean and the view is perfection. When we checked in Anastasia helped us and was beyond helpful and even moved our room around to one that had a better view. We overlooked the bay with a balcony and the room was clean and comfortable with a fireplace as well. The restaurant closes a little early but the food was terrific as well as the service. We will def be back.

The restaurant is a hidden gem here, and the view is amazing! I had a surf and turf plate that was just so delicious, and the chef should be very proud. I was in the lounge, watching the sunset both times I went in and the bar tenders waited on me both times - both were so witty and kind. And the rooms are very cute with a modern, yet classic beach house vibe.

I’ve been coming here for years. It’s a magical little hotel that sits right next to a bird sanctuary. The bird life is amazing.
I got the deluxe king room with partial bay view and I love it. I have a decent view, but can also enjoy the view of the sanctuary.
The mourning doves along with the other bird life makes it so relaxing to sit on the balcony while reading a book.
I love that the hotel isn’t in town, but still close enough to get to.

My only gripe is the restaurant. Really bad service and the food reminds me of airport food. Sadly I’ve been a fool for punishment enough to have tried several meals here over the last year, and every meal has the same disappointing results . Absolutely unappetizing. I would suggest you enjoy the happy hour they offer while watching the sunset. It’s incredible!
Then go into town for dinner.
If breakfast is your thing, I highly recommend Parisian Bakery located in town. They are INCREDIBLE!! I had the quiche, a cappuccino and a choc croissant all for $9, and it was superb.

The Inn is directly on the water. Sea otters, egrets and cormorrants entertained us from our room and the restaurant. The room had a large balcony, all the better for watching the bay. ||The bed was comfortable though the pillows a bit firm for my taste. The desk staff were pleasan. Parking was convenient, even for our 25 foot van.||We were only at the Inn one night, so ate in the restaurant, which was pleasant and not expensive. Other restaurants require driving or a half hour walk.
