This station is now operated by Messer (though owned by Iwatani). I think their support is much better and is much more reliable when you look at the CAFCP station map and they say they're online.

Plus side is that with the hydrogen shortage this and the Palo Alto stations are the only ones up. So yes it is good to have more than one supplier.

Also the engineer/tech said not to fill up on the other side of the pump because it might freeze up the lines.

March 2024 Update

There is a different level of karma for these people, and you don't want ten years of bad luck and bad karma just because you are an Iwatani customer.

If you are buying a hydrogen-powered car because of this station, think about it twice. Iwatani of America and the residents agreed that this station would shut down on March 31, 2024. While ICA requested a two-year extension that we did not explicitly agree on, this station will eventually shut down. They promised to upgrade my neighbor's window but have yet to follow through. Yet, they dared to ask for a two-year extension.

They were a good company until Joe Capella left. The new management treats us poorly, definitely not the corporation you want to support.

Hydrogen-powered car users purchase these cars, thinking they are environmentally friendly. When you fuel, you create and contribute to noise pollution. Noise that is audible inside our houses and into the backyard (hence the limited operating hours). Noise that affects our sleep and well-being.

I am unable to get pregnant due to the noise from this station and, to this day, suffer from chronic tinnitus due to my exposure and stress from this station. A noise that was undisclosed during building and permitting stages. They never told the public that these stations were noisy despite knowing that their compressors were loud. They completely took advantage of this predominantly minority area.

Take your money elsewhere, get an electric car, and never disturb someone's sleep, or support a different hydrogen station that treats everybody with respect and dignity regardless of skin color and race.

Joe (former CEO) was really good, he made sure our verbal agreement was well documented via email and ensured ICA's hours are limited and posted on their permit. At least they cannot easily change the operating hours.

March 2021 review

Every time you fuel in Iwatani, you harm the local community and endangers the families living nearby. This station produces harmful noises every day (venting noise and compression noise). The compression noise happens every time you fuel and goes on after you leave. Please help the families and the local community by supporting a hydrogen fuel station that does not harm the local community.

They should be operating with limited hours, but I have seen them working outside the agreed hours with the city. This corporation does not care about the families complaining of their noise since 2018. They continuously hurt the families living across them. Sadly, all of the affected families are people of color. One of the families even sleeps with earplugs.

Please take your money elsewhere and support businesses that treat everybody regardless of skin color with respect and dignity.

Boycott Iwatani Mountain View as this corporation is degrading the quality of life in Leong Drive. They are depriving residents basic human rights - to live in a healthy and humane environment.

They have been subjecting minority families to intrusive and nuisance noise torture since 2018.

Support a hydrogen fueling station that does not harm the local community and treats everybody with respect and dignity regardless of skin color.

After learning how Iwatani is negatively affecting the lives and the health of the families living across their station, I will not support this business in any way.

Iwatani is creating excessive, intrusive, and nuisance noises that are detrimental to public health, safety, and welfare.

Help the local community by supporting a hydrogen fueling station that does not harm the local community and does not subject any family to noise torture.

A healthy and humane living condition is a fundamental human right.

5 star for the price. Screen doesn't work at times (blank) but follow the directions on top right corner of the hydrogen pump. Swipe, then fuel. As of Aug 31, this is the price -$25

Convenient hydrogen fueling station in Mountain View. The pump has a smaller footprint (not including the giant tank that's separated from the pump) than the more popular True Zero stations, which allows it to be located amongst the standard fueling pumps at the MGM station, not isolated in the corner. You need to decline the training video at the start or else be prepared to wait. There is a special area to return the handle for the 700 Bar fueling to prevent freezing, which funnily enough is an issue at some of the True Zero stations.
