Palos Park Jewel at 131st and Lagrange road, Illinois.

What should take 5 minutes takes over 30 minutes. Purpose of self checkout defined by chat gpt:

This store has only 4 self checkout lanes and no limit. 3 of the 4 had full carts with produce, liquor. No limit like other competitors who have 15 items or less.

Come on management. No offense but are you really this ignorant?

I don’t care, I will never step into this establishment again nor anyone in my family. Do it for the sake of your life long customers who have been loyal

For the record iv’e probably pumped in half a million dollars or more to Jewel since I moved my family from California to this area in the late 1970’s to present.

I also notice you guys don’t respond to posts. That speaks for itself. Jewel corporate is too big time lol to respond to valid complaints and concerns from loyal patrons.

On 11/25/24, I went to the Frankfort IL Jewel to purchase Turkeys for Thanksgiving that I GIVE AWAY TO others. I have been giving turkeys away to others for over 25 years from this same Jewel location. I realize that there was a promotion where you could get a turkey for $.99 lb. when you make a $25.00 purchase (going from memory) I was rang up the other turkeys at full price. I was paying with a company check & the girl that rang up the order could not get the check to go through at the register (it was for $221.85) The store's main customer service clerk, took my basket with the turkeys & my other purchases (14 pies, 4 cookie trays, 4 cupcake trays, & 1 kolacky tray...all being given to others) up to the front customer service desk. Then she told me I could not purchase all the turkeys that there was a ONE TURKEY LIMIT!
She then took my check out order receipt & proceeded to delete all of the turkeys but one from the check out order even though they were FULL PRICE! When choosing what turkeys to purchase, I had gotten all of the turkeys from a meat department refrigerator section that did NOT have any signage for turkeys at the $.99 lb. one limit for a turkey promotion. She basically called me a liar, denied my purchase, & was totally discriminating against me. I really wish that I had more time that day because I would have left both carts full of the food for her (Lisa) & the store to CHOKE on. I left there, went to Mariano's located in another plaza at that intersection where I was able to purchase all the turkeys that I needed by friendly staff! Needless to say, I have not been back there to this day & will never shop there again. I will be sending this same post to their corporate office in Itasca along with a copy of the receipt.

Workers at deli whom responsibilities too cook and serve chicken we're giving customers misinformation about cook time and being rude to customer's there was no fried chicken or grilled, I was informed that it would be 10 minutes for grilled after standing there for ten minutes an being asked a second time fried or grilled when I said grilled. I was told the cook has not seasoned the chicken and it will be a 30 minute wait, I'm a senior and there were others seniors there also the worker behind counter had attitudes like they really didn't want to be there when questioned about why there was no chicken ready. this insadent happened yesterday at 95th and Ashland store around 5 o'clock while chicken was frying the cook could of been seasoning the grilled they lost eight sells for chicken I had to go to the store on 95th and Plaskie

Jewel in Deerfield did a poor job handling a problem.
They delivered someone else's food. So I was supposed to get my order today. I didn't get it and I'm very upset. They said I would get my money back. Meanwhile I don't have my order and it is difficult for me to go into the store. This is not a good way to accommodate anyone. Very poor accommodations.

I recognized one of the employees at Jewel on Central at Lawrence, and asked if he knew where this specific bread was. He took me all over and we couldn’t find it. He told me he wasn’t working, just visiting the store. He was SO HELPFUL!!! He came running up to me at the checkout holding 5 different choices of the Naan bread U was looking for. He said his name is LOU AY. He should be running the store!! Great employee!!! A+

Do something about your Bourbonnais IL store. Employees are either stoned or drunk and just lazy. They've screwed up my delivery order three times in a row. Tonight they said no one was available to shop it and didn't call me until it was supposed to be at my house. I couldn't cancel or reschedule it, and they said I'd have to wait for the morning crew to come in to cancel it and refund me before I could reorder. I even spoke to a manager who said the same thing. Serious problems if you can't refund and cancel an order online. It's the 21st century, Jewel. Maybe upgrade your tech.

I can't believe Jewel expects us to look on our phone for coupons and shop at the same time. Absolutely ridiculous. The discount should show up when we enter our phone number this will make me quit shopping at jewel! Everybody else I talk to totally agrees with me!

I’ve decided to write the ceo a letter. We go to the jewel osco store in East Moline, Il. That store is managed by a young man that has no idea how to run a store. Nor does he know how to manage his employees. I’ve already complained about several things in that store to him.
They are not rotating their products you’ll find old in back of the new. Products out of date. Then I was looking for some milk, I found out dated Milk on the bottom shelf of the cooler with a discounted price .
Their “simply Orange” orange juice is always out of date. God forbid if you want something from the deli. The employees are messing around and you wait forever to get waited on. They mess around and visit back there. Someone is going to get hurt.
We’ve decided that we’re going somewhere else. You don’t want me to get started on the pharmacy. There’s a very very big guy working back there and his shirts are way too small on him. He sweats and huffs and puffs.
I’ve had a weight problem all my life. I’m not complaining about his wait. I feel very bad for him. It’s his clothes. He needs to get larger clothes. I really don’t care to see his belly every time I go in there. And no one will jump in there to help him. That poor guy was waiting on customers inside and at drive thru.
I’ve always loved coming to that store, but I’m beginning to change my feelings on it.
That store, that manager needs help.
