Extremely disappointed with the service (or lack thereof) from the Environmental Health Department of Johnston County. The woman who answers the phones is consistently rude, condescending, and downright lazy. Instead of assisting with simple requests, she pushes the work back onto the very people calling for help—often directing them to a website when she knows full well she could handle the task herself.

Let’s not forget: these employees work for the government, and their salaries are funded by taxpayer money. It’s unacceptable that they refuse to provide basic assistance to the very people who pay their wages. If they’re not willing to do their jobs properly, maybe it’s time for some accountability and changes in staffing. The numerous low reviews speak for themselves.

I have had to make numerous phone calls to the county office, the Environmental department, and the Inspections department during the building of our house. Every single time I call, the person on the other end of the line acts like I'm bothering them and I should just know what they're talking about. They are NOT helpful and very RUDE.
