I can’t really say anything about the actual marking service, but I can say that they left our fence gate WIDE open after they finished. We have four dogs- that could have ended really, really horribly. Julie, Inc.- please educate your employees about the importance of closing a fence gate after they’ve left the yard. It should be a priority.

Horrible service. Now they said by law I cannot call and request marking at my property as a homeowner. Only contractors are allowed to call. Ridiculous. Everyone needs to move out of Illinois. This state is the worst in the country.

Now they require the digging area to be physically marked, instead of a marked satellite image. Completely uncalled for, and a waste of contractors time and money. Make sure you add a surcharge for using "Julie" as they lack common sense.

I called to change the location from the side yard to the backyard and they said it was going to push my dig day out a day, because they have to notify the utility companies and that gives them another 48 hours (which puts me a day behind the build start date). Nothing has been marked to date, so they would still have to come to mark per the original request, they just need to be informed of the location change from the side yard to the backyard. I would agree with that if they had already marked it. And the fact that the area in the side yard is not even wide enough for the size of the build and is not marked with stakes but is in the backyard, the one utility company that has showed up, knocked on the door and asked questions and marked the actual dig area in the backyard. I was also told that even if they come out and mark the area of the dig and it is does not match the request (side yard and not backyard) that does not count and you as the homeowner would still be responsible for and damages. Oh yeah, but was reinsured that at least you are digging a safe a possible even though they will not take responsibility. They have 48 hours or until the dig date so they can work at their leisure, but when you need something, it does not matter. There is absolutely no trying to convince anyone that you talk to about how insane their lack of willingness to help work through a situation to try and help you. It is only what benefits them.

Always easy to work with and easy to use online system.

For those that are commenting on marking, mis-marketing, and entering their property. This has ZERO to do with JULIE! JULIE just notifies the utilities that that need to mark their lines, thats it. They dont do the physical marketing.

USIC is 99.9/100 responsible for marking the gas, communications, and electric. The are notorious for the complaints listed here. They are contracted by those companies and not JULIE.

We are supposed to be having Internet installed. However, waiting on JULIE to mark the lines. It has been about a week and a half. STILL WAITING!. I would really like my Internet installed this year not 5 years from now.

Always impressed by the level of service I receive when submitting a request in the Mokena IL area. Dreeno is the best of the best! He showed up earlier than I expected (good thing), very friendly, very knowledgeable, and has done a very thorough job marking for my massive fence repair project.
