Wow, what a day!!! We were blessed today with blue skies, Calvin and Ben, as our guides, plus a great day of seeing thumbtacks and orcas. Calvin and Ben guided us through smooth waters and got us close enough to take some great photos. Both of them were very knowledgeable, they both were easy to talk to and professional. I can say enough about Juneau Whale Tours it was great! The fastest two hours I've had on a boat.
Now, today the weather was great, but expect rain and cold weather 50% of the time.

BOOK JUNEAU WHALE TOURS! They are THE BEST! They are personable, fun, highly educated, and they offer an intimate experience. We didn't have to deal with the crowds (thank goodness) and the pick-up and drop-off was easy and smooth.

Their boat is small and has a wrap-around outdoor deck, as well as an indoor area, so you have great viewing area all around. It's also comfortable. But, most importantly, you WILL see wildlife! I also love that while you're riding off to the spot where all the whales are, they provide you with interesting facts so you learn more about what you're about to see.

The whales ... oh they are BEAUTIFUL!!! We couldn't get enough of them and luckily, they kept showing off their tails!

Excellent whale tour. As a licensed USCG Captain I appreciate the professionalism of captain & crew & really like their specialized whale watching boat. It is offers two doors, forward & aft for passengers to take advantage of the full walk around. Additionally, the inside seats are elevated to see over the top of whale watchers on the walk around.

My family and I had the BEST time with Juneau Whale Tours! The staff TJ and Alan were so knowledgeable and so fun! I had my mother and grandmother with me and the staff was so kind and helpful to us. And of course we saw lots of whales! It was very apparent that this company cared a lot about guest experiences and about protecting the whales while still giving guests an amazing experience! This is a smaller size group so there was easy viewing for every person on board. I would highly recommend them!!

Can’t beat it. Was a fantastic trip today. Our Naturalists and captain were great. You can tell they love what they do.
Our driver was great too on the bus. Very knowledgeable as well as our ticket guy Trent.

Enjoyed an AMAZING tour with Captains TJ and Allen this past week! We quickly came upon two adult humpback whales that were repeatedly breaching, pec slapping, and spyhopping. Had an amazing view of this with Eagle Glacier in the background. Afterwards we tracked down a pod of Oreos (Orcas) that included two juvenile Orcas. We watched as they moved together, spyhopping and even breaching. Our tour finished off by viewing a group of Sea Lions lounging and then a great view of Mendenhall Glacier. The boat was amazing as it had elevated seats in case viewing needed to be done inside. Luckily we had perfect weather and was able to use the full walk around deck to easily see and experience the whales and other wildlife we came upon. I am SUPER GLAD we booked separate if our cruise line with the small family ran operation. We viewed boats from other tour operators had two decks that were PACKED with people jostling for position to get pictures. That was not necessary on our tour as the boat is designed perfect for a great family experience. Thank you Juneau Whale Tours for memories that will last a lifetime!

Awesome experience! We saw so many humpbacks, seals, sea lions, and eagles! Very funny captain and crew. Also extremely knowledgeable on all random questions whales. Very comfy and heated boat, also you could walk around the whole outside of the boat depending on where the whales are. Lily, TJ, and Allen were awesome! 10/10 will be back.

Our experience with Juneau Whale Tours was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment our cruise ship arrived in port, everything went smoothly. We quickly found the tour reps at the designated location, and despite a major mistake I made in booking the trip, the company went above and beyond to help us resolve it. They truly didn't have to, but their dedication to customer service was impressive.

Once we boarded the boat, which was very comfortable, Captain Ben and Naturalist Carrie provided us with all the necessary information about the rules and what to expect. Little did we know, we were in for an extraordinary adventure!

On our way to see the whales, we saw numerous bald eagles and a few seals. Once we arrive in the area known for the whales, three whales popped up, spouted, and showed us their tails—an incredible sight! But the real highlight was a playful calf breaching repeatedly in the distance. Captain Ben skillfully maneuvered the boat for a closer view, and we watched in awe as the calf breached at least 20 times. It was wild!

We continued our journey, spotting more whales spouting and surfacing. Captain Ben then took us to a spot known for seal sightings, and we saw plenty of them. On our way back, we even spotted a sea otter, which we were told was rare for the area.

Carrie and the deckhand Nate were fantastic at pointing out all the wildlife, ensuring we didn't miss a thing. This trip will forever be etched in our memories. Thank you, Juneau Whale Tours, for an amazing experience!
