Awful awful electric company we lost power twice today within a few hours of each other. Never had this issue with NIPSCO even tho they aren’t great either. Not sure why our subdivision chose this company but they aren’t great either constantly going out.

I will give you a 2 instead of a 1 because I believe there is someone or 2 that truly give you reasonable effort and an honest days work. If you had a majority like that I would like to compliment the rating but sadly when I see the REMC trucks it appears that most or all the workers are doing little or nothing but milking the job. Long outages in minor storms or incidents with trucks driving the roads like they are looking for something, I can only figure they are adding time to the big overtime check while I
and many other customers are digging out and connecting generators, battery powered lights, candles, etc usually as it is getting and after dark . It's not that difficult for a good electrician to trace electrical problems.
Been a while ago was having problems with service to the house so I paid REMC to put it in new underground. Waited all summer and fall, called and told them I wanted it before the ground freezes to prevent lawn damage . Eventually early 1 afternoon they show up with 2 or 3 trucks with a crew, unload 1 telephone pole, and go sit in their trucks. Hours go by I go ask why or when they are starting . The guy says it's to late to start they get off in 45 minutes, so the crew and equipment sat there all that time. Wonder why your bills went up. O, before that the lead man told me I needed to cut an Arborvitae tree or 2 out of my windbreak so their trenching machine could go through. I asked why they couldn't dig the 3 foot x 12ish foot by hand. He said they don't dig with shovels, so I dug it for them.
Can't well blame politicians for those kind of work ethics severely inflating services and products. Too bad it's happening so many places in our country. Americans need to cheerfully serve and support one another. In other words work modestly hard and honest for your paychecks so other's can afford to pay modestly for good work.

I just wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank the crew that repaired the power lines and poles that were damaged in a storm and got power back to my house. We live in a country road and I didn't expect it to be fixed for days. The crew worked through the night and got it fixed by the next morning. Thank you so much!. I hope those folks that worked through the night for us hear this. I'm sure there aren't many thank yous and that people just expect it to be done. Bless you

The customer service here is a joke. Called regarding a power surge and brief outage and was laughed at. This wasn't exactly funny to me since this same thing happened in 2016 and our home burned down from a REMC surge. Zero consideration or respect for their customers. Seeking alternative energy options to eliminate this scum.

This is the worst power company I’ve experienced in my entire life. A small gust of wind…boom power is out. A sprinkling of rain…boom power is out a semi hot day… boom power is out. I’ve lost power more this year alone than I have in my entire life and they take forever to get it back up and running. I’d say this company is terrible but that’d still be giving them too much credit.

Its NY eve, 2024 and power goes out at 4:30am. Crews out immediately in cold temps with rain. This outage was a struggle. Im not 100% but the crew mentioned possible multiple bad insulators because no lines or trees were down. 4 hrs later they were out searching everywhere and something caught their eye and power back on. Good job men considering wind and rain. You guys never fail, Happy New Year to you and your families. Be safe, God Bless!

We have had several weather related outages in the rural area that we now live in and REMC has resolved every outage within an hour of the outage. Well done to the crew for your response to your customers. We are a spoiled breed, thank you for taking care of us!

Have lived in county here in REMC for 8 years now and have absolutely enjoyed having them for our power company after Walkerton and nipsco. They are super responsive when the power goes out. It went out today when a transformer blew at 830 and it was on by 1015. And that’s with them showing up by 939 and driving the lines. And when I complained about how tight the line to the front of our house was making a humming noise them
Came out and adjusted it quickly. Never been so happy 🙂
