I have to be in Limon every 6 weeks, or so, and often stay overnight. When I first started coming here, I intentionally chose the 4 highest rated hotels here and stayed at each one once to determine which I liked best. La Quinta was my favorite, by far. The rooms are consistently clean, the beds are really comfortable, and the staff is always professional & helpful. I only have one small complaint & I mention it here in hopes that a manager might see it and try to initiate an improvement. Consistently, the lighting in the room is really sub-par. There are 3 lights in the room, one being at the desk and the other 2 from lamps that hang from the wall or ceiling. The bulbs in these lamps are not very bright, and that's fine for creating ambiance. However, a couple lights in the ceiling that could be turned on to provide illuminating light would be such a great upgrade and update to the rooms. I'll keep choosing this hotel either way, and for an overall experience, I would definitely recommend to a friend!

Added note- I'm a female, traveling alone and at a couple of the other hotels, I did not feel particularly safe. At La Quinta I always feel safe, even when I arrive late at night. The lobby is open and well lit, and the locks on the room fell secure.

The sole reason Cherry Wonderdog came to Limon, Colorado was to accompany my son on business. I had done enough research ahead of time to determine that La Quinta Inn & Suites was the best option for lodging. It was and probably still is the newest, and the beds were actually quite comfortable, but beyond that, this was no Ritz Carlton. ||Everything in our room was made from cheap material – furniture, plumbing, lighting baseboards, etc. The shower pressure was quite low, and the sink faucet knocked every time I turned it off. I give it three more years before everything breaks down. Despite a long wall facing the exterior, the window to the outside was tiny and didn’t open. We had to rely on the noisy climate control system which made the room insufferably dry. To suggest the room was dark would be a gross understatement. An entire side of the room had no lighting at all. Unpacking at night was a struggle. Fortunately there were no trees (or anything else for miles) obstructing the barren view from the mini-window, so mornings were less of an issue.||Downstairs there was a small pool and jacuzzi, but they were strictly “check the box” items for management to bolster the hotel’s list of amenities; the room housing them was claustrophobic (without chairs), and I never saw it being used.||Breakfast was the worst of our trip. Absolutely miserable! Unhealthy processed food (ironically marketed as new and healthy), and the only coffee available was percolated. Yup – just like 50 years ago, when coffee and dirty water were nearly indistinguishable. Hey, La Quinta, people’s tastes have matured!||Staff at La Quinta were nice but definitely young and inexperienced. There wasn’t much for them to say or do though, as most people in the hotel were self-sufficient truck drivers stopping off for the night. To those without means of transportation, the hotel was completely isolated. There was one restaurant down the road, but it meant crossing the highway without sidewalks and braving fierce winds. No shuttle service either.| |To sum things up, La Quinta makes for a good single night stopover assuming you go out for breakfast the next day. For Cherry Wonderdog, it was two nights too long.

Great, clean rooms. We stayed in a pet friendly room with our dog. I think they keep all the dog rooms in the same area because most of our neighboring units had dogs.

They have a great breakfast.

And this hotel has a decent little gym if you want to get a workout in. I saw a review from a month ago that had said the gym was closed. But it is open now! I got into the gym fine, included some photos of the gym and snack shop at the front desk.

Great experience. Nice first impression. Up-to-date, clean property. It actually looked like the pictures online. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, comfortable, and quiet room. Pet-friendly but with no noticeable stains or smells in the room. Had a working hot tub. Good breakfast, nice variety of selections. Check-out was a breeze.

My husband and I had a great experience here! We’re driving across the country and we were just looking for something decent that was right off I-70 for one night and the La Quinta more than delivered! The bed was incredibly comfortable, sheets were so soft, room was really clean, and the shower pressure was great. The complimentary breakfast from 6-9am was also much better than expected - pancake maker, waffle maker, scrambled eggs, sausages, biscuits & gravy, yogurts, fruits, cereal, toast, and more. They have a pool and fitness center as well as a hot tub but that was unfortunately closed during our stay (Aug 2024). I would highly recommend this hotel!

Limon is a good place to recover without paying Denver prices, before you get to Denver. The hotel is comfy and clean. I didn't give it five stars because it isn't Wow, but it was perfectly fine. Love it if they had streaming, but the remote did not suggest they did.

A welcome respite after an unpleasant experience at the Super 8 in Grand Junction. |This hotel seems almost new, the beds are VERY comfortable, the pillows had great fluff and sink, everything was spotless. The air conditioner/ heater is new and quiet. The soap, shampoo and conditioner is all brand name - Dove - not some awful, cheap off brand. The towels were plentiful and thick. |The two queen room was large and was plenty of room for two full size mountain bikes, two dogs, and two humans. |The bathroom is large-ish and there is a little nook with a little coffee pot, fridge AND microwave. |There are plenty of plugs, lights, and light switches that all appear to work. |We took advantage of the breakfast included in our stay - "typical" hotel breakfast food which was fine. Biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, waffles, yogurt, fresh fruit, cold cereal, 2% milk, toast ... it was perfect! |I believe there is an open swimming pool, and I did see an exercise room as well. |Dog friendly hotel although the dogs are $25 each per night.|There is a small sand and astroturf type lawn doggie area next to the eastern hotel parking lot. Lots of poop bags around the facility. |The parking was GREAT! We have a 4 dr Silverado and are pulling a car trailer with a 4Runner, and we found Great parking spots in the eastern parking lot. |Thanks La Quinta!

The hotel was very clean and the rooms were spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. The bathroom was large and had a shower that was wonderful. I gave the hotel 5 stars because it was amazing.
