Two notices with absolutely nothing done. Encampment hasn't been cleaned. Its still growing. And now the requests of removal have been removed from 3 months ago even though nothing was done. Photos of ignored notices. Photo of sanitation showing up. Photos of after they left.

I was denied their services for reasons due to their faulty website, and unwillingness to go through with their work. Instead I found sanitation services in Yelp where there are family owned businesses.

The worst department ever. There is no response to certified letters adjustment forms sent twice since August 2022. No response to phone messages. The billing rate is three times the water use. There is no customer care. It’s a monopoly on charging whatever and no follow up to questions

Inconsistent customer service! I've experienced this multiple times with this city department and it's so irritating. Can't you train your customer service reps to provide valid information regarding your business processes? I called in to have my damaged trash bins replaced on two separate occasions and each time the first representative advised me to leave the damaged bin at the curb, which was incorrect because I live in a Townhouse and trash collection is done in back near the garage. This caused a delay in my bin replacement and stolen bins. I had to make multiple calls to have my problem resolved. I do want to thank the reps who know the correct process and helped to resolve my problem.

I frequently contact LA Sanitation. We often have issues regarding homeless encampments and illegal dumping of waste. Unfortunately they have never been helpful. Whoever fills their request never actually checks our area. There is no way for them to be in contact with you when they go to check the request which makes zero sense to me. I have put in over 8 requests and they all get closed without even being looked into. It really is sad. We had to pay someone we knew to clean out the area. It is disheartening that this place has no structure or care for it's community. I have reported them as well. I wish things would improve. What is the point in having such a thing if it accomplishes nothing? They paint a nice picture but like I said there is no structure with this place, they don't actually do much of anything. Certainly far less than the minimum of the services they provide.

Drivers close tickets and lie about reasons for not picking things up. This last one had the nerve to say a desk that sat there all night and all day wasn't there. Either he purposely angled the camera to avoid doing his job or he has a pixel just like I do and altered the photo to delete the desk. Tax dollars hard at work.

LA Sanitation loves to find ways to charge more! We are living in a 4 unit "multi family" property, but LA Sanitation has decided that we are now "single family" and jacking up the rates to $25 more per unit. A total of $600 more per year for the entire property. I have lived on the property for a long time and it has always been considered multi family by the LA DWP and LA Sanitation. I guess some genius at LA Sanitation got a great idea on how to generate more revenue? Make up their own definition of multi family vs. single family, and charge more. A+ on creativity! Yes, greed is alive and well in the City of Angels. Give yourselves a rate hike? Yeah, we should all do it whenever we like, right? I was told by their billing people and a supervisor that they changed the definition a few years ago, but just had not caught up with us yet. So they basically admit they did in fact change the definition to suit their goal of squeezing more money out of people. Their service is already higher in cost than most other cities in the U.S. and in general their service is bad... as they often forget to pick up the trash, and destroy our cans with their trucks on a regular interval. I'm sure we will be hearing about a class action suit against them in the next few years? Great work guys! Keep dumping your trash back on the customer... way to go team!
