Front desk staff were amazing! Very friendly and welcoming.
Room was BEAUTIFUL!!! Perfect stay for a family.

Now, the breakfast attendant… ZERO people skills, a grouch who muttered things about other guest under her breath. cleaned and touched counters then refilled items with no gloves. She did not wash her hands in between cleaning and restocking muffins and toast with her bare hands.
(P.S her side occupation is also the juice police) I’m all for equal opportunity hiring but proper sanitation when food handling is a MUST.

I booked La Serena last minute and it was perfect! I’ve stayed in many places in the area, and this is probably my new favorite one. The two bedroom suite was very spacious and I loved that it had a full kitchen. The continental breakfast was nice and the location was great as it was right next to a convenience store, as well as just a short walk to the Embarcadero. We will definitely be staying here again!

We have been staying here for years. When we arrived last week it felt different when we walked into the lobby I asked the gentleman at the reception when we were checking in are there new owners. Paul said yes.
Warning # 1 elevator not working. Yes we had help with our luggage.

Warning#2. California has a law all prices quoted must be the total of your stay. When I saw the invoice it had additional taxes added to our bill and was already charged !!

Warning #3. Was told the new owner would contact me. Checked in 4/13. Today after numerous calls STILL NO CALL. We were charged an additional $104
Sadly we will book elsewhere. You have been warned.

La Serena Inn was an awesome place to have a 3day weekend.
So close to the beach and all of the main restaurants and shopping areas in town.

The staff was unbelievable with their customer service and doing everything in their power to make my stay and trip a success.

Special thank you to the front desk for helping me with my room sotuation.

I have never had such a great customer service experience before.

5 stars all the way!

Front desk is friendly. Check in was quick. Our room was on the 2nd floor and looking at other reviews from even 9 months ago, their elevator is still out of order. It wasn't listed as such when I booked the room. I have bad knees, so this made it difficult going up and down the stairs. Our family room was beautiful, but the beds are so uncomfortable. I didn't sleep and woke up very painful and sore. I felt like I slept on a rock. Breakfast was ok, simple. Overall, it was ok but I will not be returning.

Great service & attitude from All Staff, esp Paul at the front desk & May, our Breakfast host. Very safe & covered parking for our 69 Classic Camaro. Highly recommend La Serena Inn, you won’t be disappointed! . Very clean rooms & close to everything! The Magana’s from San diego.

Be careful when booking through Expedia. It says the hotel is pet friendly so I booked it. I looked again and it showed that is was NOT pet friendly. I guess when you book through Expedia that happens. Luckily I checked while we could still cancel. I booked the room 2 months ago and now have to scramble to find a new hotel for next week.

We had a great 4-day weekend stay! There was one breakfast monitor who was a bit grouchy (mainly over how to use the waffle station) but other than that, one of our best stays I've ever had in a Morro Bay hotel(and I've been coming here for 44 years). Extremely clean and updated, smelled amazing. Friendly staff. The renovators were extremely courteous, so not sure why people are complaining about that. May be just the luck of where they were at in the process during our stay. The bed did take about the third night to get accustomed to, but not awful. Our bed at home is just super forgiving. We will DEFINITELY stay here again! The value with breakfast included--no one in the area can compete with this place! 🙏🏼
