Doing tree work in the area and killed half my tree in my yard and say it's fine when half the tree is gone. Came here to see it and say it's fine or they can give me a sapling to replace this one.what a complete joke. And waste of time

Need to seriously to get your act and stupidity together, past due amounts magically always seem to happen before payday, or is it designed that way so the tech whom seems to be camped out in front your house is magically there to cut off your power to generate more fees for turning it back on, let’s talk about Kubra ez pay, another gotcha. When I go on there to pay my past due amount it is always higher, went to pay my $106 past due and it turned into $124 WHY? You screwed me over for $18 and no one was there to kiss me, the web pages crash a LOT and the same debit card I use took 3 separate tries, first 2 were declined and why who even knows, the 3rd time it processed, total unnecessary waste of my time which I feel is by design. I am positive there is an endless number of complaints about the lack of efficiency of your payment system

They made the mistake of coming out and shutting my power off due to a systematic error on their end after I worked a 12 hour night shift and when I spoke to the supervisor and explained I have an autistic child, food that’s going to spoil, I have just gotten off work and haven’t even been able to shower and have to work tonight, the response I got was oh well I’ll send an email but can’t guarantee that will help speed it up. Because they don’t turn power back on until after 2pm, It was literally their error.

It has been 5 weeks since I reported 5 streetlights out in my neighborhood, and they still haven't been replaced. The street next to me has 3 lights and 2 of them are out. I have repeatedly asked that they repair them and finally the person at Lakeland electric told me it was 4 weeks out. It is now 5 weeks. I am a senior citizen, which I explained, and I do not feel safe walking after sunset. I shouldn't have to live in a place like this. I pay for streetlights in my taxes. I see LE trucks working on new construction but can't come out and fix streetlights. They do not care about our safety or wellbeing. I wish another company would come in.

Updating post- Now it is 6-1/2 weeks and still haven't been replaced. Maybe by Christmas? New years?

I used to be a huge fan of their customer service. They used to be extremely professional, quick and efficient in solving issues. Key words USED TO. Now it seems like the ladies in the customer service department — including the supervisors— do not want to do their job and are extremely passive aggressive and argumentative.

I spoke with Ann who kept putting me on hold for long periods of time, around 8-10 mins for a simple service request. I honestly think she was trying to get me to hang up on her cause she was taking up so much time. I told her that I don’t mind an awkward silence and to please not put me on hold again. She said “You don’t mind?” I responded “Not at all” and then she immediately put me on hold again. Passive aggressive much?

I then spoke with her supervisor Jeanine who was no help at all and passive aggressive as well. I needed to create a new account. Jeanine told me to pay the deposit online and everything would be all set. I paid the deposit and my power still went out. When I called customer service, I spoke with Ann again and she told me that I my power was out because I was advised to call Lakeland Electric when the deposit was paid. I responded that I was NOT told to call them once the deposit was paid; however that is moot now and I just need my power back on so please take this as the call that I paid the deposit. Instead of trying to assist me in solving my issue, she puts her focus on being argumentative and says “Well we can review the call if you’d like?” To which I responded “We could because you guys never told me to call you, but I really don’t want to waste either of our time so this is me letting you know the deposit was paid. How do I get my service back on?” Like I said, instead of focusing on solving my problem (which is literally her job as a customer service agent) she focused on being argumentative and passive aggressive. Miss Cindy is a great CSR and is excluded from this. Other than that, Ann needs some attitude training and should stop being so passive aggressive. It prolongs solutions to problems and wastes everyone’s time.

I've been a supporter of Lakeland Electric in the past because of their response to power outages after major storms. But the utility's billing system is so severely antiquated - and their billing customer service response so ineffective - that I can't defend them. My best advice is to never give Lakeland Electric access to your bank account or credit card for automatic billing. They will withdraw funds whether you have a balance due or not. The problem isn't greed, as some claim, but ignorance and apathy. Look closely at every bill and pay each bill yourself; avoid automatic billing.

Send this guy back down Lakeland Hills Blvd to pick up his trash he tossed out his window infront of me. Hopefully no more of your employees are illegally littering.
