First, let me begin by saying that neither my husband nor I am in any way associated or affiliated with Lighthouse Electric and Solar on a professional or personal level. My husband and I contracted them to install a complete off-grid system and this is what we experienced:

* Lighthouse Electric and Solar is a small local business with years of experience purposely ran as a small business providing a personal level of attention that bigger companies don't provide.

* Bruce and Josh were very attentive to our needs and went out of their way to make sure that we got exactly what we wanted. They spent hours talking with us to determine our power needs and gave suggestions for sizing and components. They designed our system specifically for us and didn't have problems changing things around when we changed our minds just prior to the installation.

* Their attention to detail regarding design, component configuration, installation and performance before, during and after installation is unmatched by any contractor we've ever hired. Many contractors claim they'll provide a service on a level like it's their own house, however Lighthouse Electric and Solar is the only one we've encountered that truly displays this.

* They are professional and personable

* They took the time to explain the system component functions, periodic maintenance, and possible troubleshooting.

From beginning to end our experience with Lighthouse Electric and Solar was a breath of fresh air when it came to dealing with contractors in our area. We appreciated that they always got back to us in a timely fashion when we called. A month after installation we received a call from them telling us they were in our area and asked if they could stop by to check on the system to ensure it was performing at its optimum. That is an example of their dedication to making sure their customers are completely satisfied with the services they provide. We wholeheartedly recommend Lighthouse Electric and Solar. I met Joshua from lighthouse back in 2021. I would have loved to have his company to my solar installation, but I didn't have the funding at that time. Later I had a phone consultation with Chris. He took plenty of time to give his advice on the issue at hand. In December 2023 my invertor went completely out. I knew they were a very busy company and was prepared to just use our generator till they would be able to get out. They amazed me by changing their schedule so that they were able to get out here in
December and get a new invertor installed for us! If all companies had the ethics and policies of doing business, life would be such a delight! I would highly recommend Lighthouse Electric and Solar to anyone!

A short time ago, Lighthouse installed a masterpiece of solar array, charging system and controller, batteries and stand by generator at my home. Even though we live in a very isolated, rural location, accessible only by over an hour drive on dirt roads, these guys never complained!
They exhibited workmanship which I would describe as being in the category of excellence! Everything they did reflected a degree of pride. I couldn’t be happier. When I had questions regarding operation of the generator, they quickly responded to my calls, even during the holidays and very patiently answered all my questions!

Lighthouse solar is a great business. We bought a house which already had solar for their only source of power. Josh and Bruce came out did an inspection of the existing system. They walked us though what to watch out for and how to live off grid.
I had to call the a few times to have them walk me through how to reset our system once. They also made recommendations for back up systems.
We took one of their recommendations and got a backup generator. They came out hooked us up and upgraded our system and made some more recommendations. Thier pricing is very reasonable. They are very helpful and business oriented.
When I need help with solar they are the first people I call!!

Bruce installed my solar system in 2014. It worked flawlessly until the batteries approached the end of their expected lifetimes. Bruce recommended new batteries with extra capacity, and my system is up and running again as seamlessly as it was before. I could not be more thrilled!

Bruce himself has been using solar for decades and so knows off-grid systems both personally and professionally. From the start, he took the time to listen carefully so that my system was appropriately sized to my needs. He was always available to answer my questions and to educate me about the workings of my system in ways that were relevant and that I could understand. He took the fear out of going off-grid for this first-time solar user and I have become a fan!
