We were selling a house with an underground oil tank and were under a time crunch to comply with the buyer's demand to remove the tank and still meet the closing date. The office staff was very helpful in getting the permits and scheduling the removal in a timely matter. The removal team of Justin and Anthony were terrific by getting the tank out with minimal damage to the property. Because of Lombardo’s professionalism, we made the closing date. I highly recommend them.

The guys that came to remove the tank from a very small area were very efficient and very professional! You can see by the pictures the tank was removed through a very tight spot! Everything was done in a relatively timely fashion and I couldn’t be happier. They also worked through the light rain to make sure the hole was filled in! We needed an above-ground oil tank taken out of our garage (including draining oil from tank) after having converted to gas heat. Lombardo was recommended, and they did an excellent job. Arranged for permit and contacted inspector. Worked quickly and neatly and with respect for our property; they knew what they were doing. They also removed the cement bollards that had been required in front of the tank (so a car could not hit it). They cemented over the holes where those posts were; also closed up the holes where the fill pipe went through the garage wall. (We will replace siding in that area.) Work was done in about two hours. Passed inspection that afternoon, and Lombardo returned (about an hour after I told them it passed) to take away the empty tank. Would highly recommend.

Did the work but highly unprofessional. I called them through real estate agent referral for a tank sweep of the new property. The guy who showed up didn’t greet or interact with me or notified about anything. He has enough time to chat with the other inspector & disturb him with his work. Took a look around, reported found a copper wire & left. Wouldn’t recommend for first time home buyers.

If you need an oil tank removal, I highly recommend this company. The process was seamless from inception. Used Lombardo to remove oil tank from some tricky landscaping in front of house. Their excavator operator is world class. Not only did he smoothly manipulate a huge machine in a tight space (power lines, trees, shrubbery) he was able to save all the small trees landscaped in the area. The rest of the team was terrific and careful removing a decorative retaining wall and although not in the contract, helped me put it back together after the hole was refilled. Wonderful service.

This type of work is messy and your property is not going to be perfect afterwards. It’s construction after all, but a little sweeping and hosing away residual dirt did the trick. I thought the removal was going to be a disaster, but this team was a great bunch of workers. The office staff was also helpful helping me fit my deadlines the best they could. Keep in mind that they have to coordinate with your town for permitting and inspections so let them do their jobs which takes a few days. Helps is you stay involved and call your town building department once Lombardo submits the application - May speed things up.
