11 months ago I was at least 30 lbs heavier, had high blood pressure, was being treated for pre-diabetes, had high cholesterol, edema in my legs and was slowly headed for kidney failure. Needless to say, my body was not in good health and it was getting worse. All the while, I am seeing my former doctor 3-4 times a year and I can't blame him for not being able to fix things with drugs. When my current doctor informed me that I was one step away from kidney failure and dialysis, I realized my only option was to turn things around. She is extremely knowledgeable in nutrition science and tailored my program to address my particular health issues. I will be forever indebted to her in guiding me how to use food almost as a medicine. I'm not on any diet but I eat differently now and I'm happier for it.
