I love this place! Whether it's attending events and activities, like storytime and the monthly book club, I always enjoy my time at the library! The staff is friendly and helpful, always sure to help you with whatever you need. The building is beautiful and historic. You can find almost any book you could want, and if they don't have it here, the librarians are more than happy to put out a hold for you! Also, be sure to check out the quarterly book sales!! 🩷

WHAT? Membership for a library card?! I have lived in 5 other states across America and NEVER heard of a free library (which all should be)charging for a membership to check out books. Knowledge should be FREE!

Historical Library with a beautiful Architectural Exterior. I have visited 3 floors in this library. There is a children's area downstairs and a teen section on the upper floor. There are computers available for the public to use for members and guests. I am always greeted with a smile and the associates are patient and knowledgeable. If you are new to the area this would be a good place to start your search for things to do in Southern Illinois.
Some other nice amenities are free wi-fi, printing at 10 cents a page for black and white pages, two quiet rooms for study and a small section of Williamson County archives.

This is the best library we have ever been too. It is so clean and organized. They have a huge selection of books, movies, and games. They also have plenty of activities for kids going on all the time. The team members here are also super nice and helpful! We look forward to our visit here and try to visit weekly.

It's a typical library, good selection of books and several computers that can be accessed. They have movies but the selection is very limited. Still a nice place to go for a relaxing quiet time or a good book.
Update: Getting a replacement library card was very easy, just had to show proof of address and it was done 👍

Pretty disappointed with this library. I live in Marion, but not within the city limits so to get a library card it's $112 a year. Every town I have ever lived in my whole life I've gotten a library card, and it has always been free. This is pretty outrageous to be fair.
