Miami dade Water and Sawer department

I report blocked piping in front of my property at 4pm yesterday October 21.
Miami dade coordinator and entire team resolved the issue immediately and they did amazing work. Just to mention they need to cut 15 feet deep the road and everything went great. This team need to be recognized but really well recognized. They found AT&T using Sawer pipes for cabling and it is wrong.

I started noticing increased water usage on my quarterly bill over the last 12 months and decided to contact a plumbing company to come to my home to investigate. I first did a test to see if water was being consumed with everything OFF in the home & checking the meter outside. To my surprise the meter dial indicated there was water being consumed somewhere inside the home. When I turned off my main shutoff valve at the home entry, the dial STOPPED. I knew I had a problem and the plumbing co. confirmed this. After spending $8000 on repairs & services to resolve a pipe leak under our home foundation slab, I contacted MDWSA and asked for a credit. They required a signed affidavit, photos, inspection and copies of invoices which I compiled. After jumping through their hoops, I ended up with a very small credit of only $126! As you can see from this attached document tracking all usage & cost over the last three years, this credit was inadequate. While I’m glad we’re no longer wasting precious water, I’m not satisfied with the overall credit. I’m hoping this review will educate others to not wait when you see usage water increase-Take Action quickly before you run a up repeated bills from MDWASA. In closing, I rated them 3 stars as their phone reps and field inspector were very nice.

A year ago, I experienced an extremely higher than normal water bill. After speaking to many representatives, and getting nowhere, I finally spoke to Lizandra Garcia. Lizandra was patient, understanding, and committed to finding a solution to my problem. Lizandra put me in touch with Yany Rivero, who is a wonderful human being and problem-solver. She is professional and takes her time to reach out personally with any concerns you have. I would also like to take a moment to commend Jeff Canfield. Jeff was able to take a deep dive into my account and corrected the erroneous bill once and for all. A big thank you to Lizandra, Yany, and Jeff for helping me out with this big problem. I am so thankful to you all!

This review is for Ms Yanima Rivero, Public Relations Dept with MDWASD. I have had the pleasure of working with Ms Rivero on several occasions with what continues to be an ongoing and recurring billing problem for myself and the Residents of the City of Miami Springs. Her professionalism, attentive and courteous approach to problem solving is refreshing in these times. She should be commended by MDWASD for her work. The security guard was very rude and unprofessional, asking me to leave when I was about to pay my bill. Her behavior involved arguing with a customer, which was quite unacceptable

I paid for Certificate of use on line for a new business. They denied it because they were not able to read the signatures of the lease agreement. I brought the entire lease to them, they made copies after two hours of waiting. It was one employee assisting everybody, taking information from the lobby. No privacy, He did not let anyone get near his desk. He just went back and forth from his computer to the lobby. That was crazy, very disorganized and disrespectful.
Till then, I am waiting for the CU to open the business, they don’t release it. I realized some people went to the cashier and paid, the same gentleman followed them outside of the Building to get their documents.
It’s different in the Coral Way Building
This problem has existed for many years. City of Miami needs to re-educate these groups. Time is money.

Time wasting is incredible with this department. More than an hour to reach a costumer service representative for an emergency. Real bad job. You need to revise all your protocols. There is a backflow for fire system without water wich means there is an entire building without fire system active and you people don't do you your job in an expedite manner. Hopefully nothing will happens.
