Midnight Sun Solar just completed a solar project for us on an off grid cabin. From start to finish Mark & crew were the most professional and fun contractor to work with.

Now you have to understand my wife and I are a little bit older and not the most tech savvy folks in the world. Mark was so patient with us when it came to the dumb questions and believe me we had them.

Even after the install he still answered questions and walked through on the phone with us to get to our answer, the whole time being very patient and helpful.

We highly recommend Midnight Sun Solar for your solar power needs on the Kenai Peninsula!

We had 30 panels placed on our property. 17 were placed on west side. 4 were moved to south side. The remaining 13 panels do not produce because they do not receive sun until late afternoon. Requests at the time of reviewing placement was for East side of building because sun is there most of the day. We paid for a system that almost half the panels are not producing. We are now looking at other options to have them moved to an area that will produce power. We are very disappointed in their lack of responsibility for wrong placement of panels.

Midnight Sun Solar has installed two solar arrays at our residence. A pole-mounted array was commissioned in February 2020 and a roof-mounted array in January 2023. This review details the latest installation. Having had overall positive prior experiences with Anchorage Solar and Midnight Sun Solar (MSS) I choose MSS for the latest installation because they were local and willing and able to install the system during the winter (impressive!). The initial design and number of panels had to be adjusted on the fly the day of installation because a roof overhang above the array wasn't accounted for (see photo). Because of this MSS generously added a consumption meter to the system. The work itself went smoothly and quickly, and the system was producing electricity right away. It took several warm weather months and a few hose downs to wash from the roof the red chalk used to align the rack installation, and some followup correspondence with MSS to calibrate the consumption meter. Throughout the project MSS was easy to deal with and the systems are performing flawlessly. I'm particularly happy to have the consumption meter. I'm glad to have MSS providing service on the peninsula.

Had trouble getting my Generac to auto start with Renogy inverter when batteries were low. The Generac dealer charged me a ton of hours trying to figure it out. Renogy couldn't figure it out. Visited Midnight Solar and 30 minutes talking with Mark we had suggestions that worked. I'll definitely be going back the them for my next solar system.

Has anyone heard from Mark? He has not responded to any of my texts for two months since he took a final payment for a system he installed for us. Perhaps he changed email address. I hope he is still in business because the system installed still is unaccountable for production. Seems the company has internal communication issues as to what the salesman (Mark) and Alexander ( project engineer) as to what they sell to customer. This is a last ditch effort to have them contact me as to my concerns before I write a review which may not bode well.

Throughly enjoy the service we were given by the office and work crews when we were looking into getting solar installed at the house. Great workmanship by the crews and what I appreciate most is the responsive help they all gave before and after installation of our home system. The family THANKS you ALL for a job well done!!

I talked with Mark and Bobby about installing new batteries and a solar panel mount at my of grid cabin. They were very easy going, helpful and knowledgeable about different setups and were looking forward to installing the setup I picked out. They also give a great military discount. I would highly recommend them for all my alternative energy needs.
