Having moved this year, it was my second solar panel installation by Midwest Solar Power. The management up to the install date and after was well organized. The day of installation went quickly. The crew showed up on time and efficiently split duties between the panel installers on the roof and the electrical wiring crew in the basement. All was done by early afternoon just in time for the sun to come out. After 3 weeks, the on-line monitoring system shows the panels are providing clean electricity to our home and the grid. Good experience. I recommended Midwest Solar Power to my neighbor.

I highly recommend Midwest Solar Power for anyone considering a solar power project. I wanted to make the investment in solar power for my house with the rising cost of electricity and received quotes from a number of solar companies in the area. Many companies felt like used card salesmen pushing financing for their systems or giving me quotes without ever asking anything about my preferences/priorities. One company even had multiple sales reps knocking on my door trying to each give me different quotes. From day one Midwest Solar showed a high level of professionalism doing a site visit, asking questions to understand exactly what my goals were for the system to provide a tailored quote, and giving me several options at different price points to choose between. I never felt any sales pressure from them despite asking many questions and asking them to rework the system from the initial quote with additional options. After signing the contract, they stayed in regular communication carefully explaining every step along the way. They took care of all paperwork for permits and power company coordination. On installation day their crew showed up timely and was extremely professional. The installation crew was respectful of the property, walked me through exactly what they would be doing beforehand, walked me through the completed work after, and answered every question that I had before departing. The little things like confirming if it was okay to put the disconnect box in a certain place meant a lot. I can't say enough about how professional everyone at Midwest Solar has been and their pricing was extremely competitive with other companies in the area. I am beyond satisfied with the system they installed and my experience with them. I highly recommend Midwest Solar.

Midwest did our recent solar install on our south-facing garage roof in Madison. They were easy to work with and were happy to address our concerns with future-proofing issues such as being able to easily add an EV charger in our garage if we want to later.

Their bid was in the same range as other firms, but we felt better about the info we were getting. (One competitor suggested we could add the cost of taking down an old tree in our front yard to what we claimed for the 30% federal tax credit, which seemed dodgy).

We’re now producing as we had hoped (getting 4.1 kW output on our ~5 kW-spec’ed system in mid-October.) They submitted our state forms for us and sent us the form for the Federal tax credit. They also responded quickly and satisfactorily to post-install questions.

All in all, a good experience.
