Absolutely gorgeous property! We loved our stay here as it was during a perfect Florida day. The ambiance in the resort is amazing and the design is beautiful. Rooms were clean and spacious, patio was perfect with a great view of the golf course. Brunch was delicious, full buffet with omelette stations made on the spot your way. Truly wish we stayed longer and played some golf but we will be back!

First impressions always last, and unfortunately, my first impression of Mission Resort & Club was not a good one. Check-in was smooth, but despite our prior request to have rooms next to each other, we had to ask again at the front desk.

The real disappointment came when we entered the room. It had a strong, unpleasant mix of perfume and mildew, which was immediately off-putting. The bathroom was even worse—we found hair, and the entire space was dusty and unclean. It was clear that proper cleaning had not been done. Any other time, I would have left and found another hotel, but since we arrived at 10 PM and were leaving early in the morning, we had no choice but to stay.

On top of all that, I paid over $250 a night, and the price absolutely did not match the quality. For that rate, I expected at least a clean and comfortable stay, but this experience was far from it. I didn’t even feel comfortable sleeping under the covers, which says a lot. Cleanliness should be a top priority for any resort, and unfortunately, this one did not meet even basic expectations. I wouldn’t stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it to others.

Really beautiful hidden gem. Stayed here for one night to attend a local wedding. Wish we stayed for a longer period to enjoy the hotel amenities. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay including the Sunday brunch - tons of food options from breakfast to cheeses to seafood. Would recommend this hotel stay for anyone in the area.

We had a golfing trip planned with 12 guys and picked this place. Setting up the trip was very easy with the staff at Mission Resort. Individuals were able to call in separately and pay for their hotel and golf, only needed a deposit in advance. The thing that isn't shared and we were quite surprised and loved was they had a hang out room with 2 pool tables, 2 poker tables and TVs. While we weren't golfing it was a great place to hang out as a group. Golf was great, able to set tee times up well in advance. Golf courses are challenging. 2 18s that are unique so you won't get bored. GPS in carts as well, breakfast included as well. Overall this was a excellent experience for the price, we will be coming back in the future. If you are looking for a more laid back golf experience this is a great place.

Absolutely amazing property, spacious rooms , beautiful grounds, and great service .
Seeing so many bad reviews here had to clarify. Now, it is daytime, and the whole property looks even more amazing. Had a great run through the property, They have a very nice spot with a fully equipped gym. Tennis courts, picaball courts , great pool with a BBQ. Fantastic pool and card room. I am here with teenagers, and they are very happy that should say a lot. The only issue we had the room did not have a privacy hanger, and housekeeping was knocking on the door before 9 waking kids up. Everything else is great . We even had an unexpected bonus, hotel hosted some kind of car meet, and we got to enjoy a full parking lot of beautiful rare cars , we love car shows, so it was very welcomed surprise.

We recently stayed at the Mission Resort + Club. Here is what we thought:

Service: We were quickly checked in by the front desk staff. The front desk person just asked for our name and gave us our room keys, she didn’t confirm/double check our type of room or reservation. The rest of the hotel staff we encountered were very friendly.

Room: First, we were given the wrong room because our reservation was confused with another guest. We were put in the farthest room on the property from the main building (San Angel Building). The minute we walked into this building the building had a musty, humid smell to it. Also this building has NO elevators. We had an older lady have to climb the stairs to get to her room in front of us! The staff should’ve been more considerate about this. When we arrived to our room, we quickly realized we had the wrong room so we had to carry all our things back to the main building where we were given our correct room. We received no apologizes or offers to carry our things to either room.

It looks like they’re renovating this place in phases, elevators were shut down for lots of the building. This resort has almost no ADA accommodations, no automatic opening doors and almost no ramps. So please beware cautious if you book here and you require those things. The whole resort is spread out and very confusing to get around. The entire place is outdated, thankfully they are renovating it. Our bathroom had tiny ants all over the sink the entire time it was unpleasant.

Location: The location was good because it was conveniently located to the wedding we were attending at The Howie Mansion, other than that there isn’t much in the area, so you’re really stuck there during your time.

We won’t be back.

I had high expectations for this place given that it's in the middle of nowhere and cost $370 for 1 night. The minute we walked off the parking lot, the stench of old was hard to miss. My husband's comment was that it smelled like the nursing home where his grandma lived many years before. The rooms didn't smell any better and were extremely basic, on the level of a 2 star motel. They don't even have a smart TV in the room. What a rip-off. Should have stayed at a Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn - this is the same level basic but older and smellier. Thankfully, we are here for only 1 night.

We are so grateful to have stayed in this hotel after a few months of being displaced from hurricane Helene. We had the best stay mostly because of its staff. Everyone that works at this resort is incredibly kind, polite, they go out of their way to make your stay be the best it can be. Special thanks to Sidney, Kimberly, and Tom at the Margarita restaurant. Also, Steve and Andy who drove us around the property carrying a big smile and always willing to assist us. Alan at the golf shop, Nathan and Bill our tennis
coaches and Ernesto the gardener who always greeted us with the biggest smile. The food was really good as well. The property is huge and beautiful full of colorful flowers and lots of things to do. We came here with low expectations after reading other people's reviews. It is true that the rooms are a bit outdated but they are clean and comfortable. This place is a hidden gem!
