The cabin was small but nice and comfortable, with a large front yard. The beds were comfy, and the location was great for exploring Lassen. Unfortunately, it seems like they haven't been properly maintaining the cabin and it's surroundings. There were missing lids for the pots, and some dishes and cups were very dirty and dusty. Also, the grass in the front yard was a bit brown, and the pool was cracked and had mold and mildew, so we couldn’t swim in it, which we had been looking forward to. This sounds like I'm complaining a lot, but everything should be in top shape for $220 for a small cabin.

So many of the cabins near Lassen Volcanic National Park are ‘camping cabins’ without facilities, but we wanted an en-suite bathroom. We found that and more. An adorably furnished, super clean comfortable place to relax after a day in the park. It has a little kitchen w fridge, microwave, coffeemaker w coffee, dishes , etc. and a bbq outside. ||The hosts were so lovely. Thanks for your friendliness!||The grounds are woodsy, and it looks like a terrific wedding setup. ||Staying in Shingletown cuts at least 30 minutes of the drive from I-5 to the park.

My family rented out the entire property for 3 nights at Grace Lake Resort for my parents 50th anniversary gathering. It was perfect! Each family had their own cabin and the house and surrounding property served as our gathering area for meals, games and celebrating. The cabins and house were all beautifully decorated, each with their own theme. It was the little details of each cabin that made them special...the flowers on the table and the table set for four! They were clean and well stocked with the basic essentials. The property is wooded, shady and peaceful despite being just off the main road. The pool was a wonderful bonus, although the water was quite cold and the pool itself dirty with debris on the bottom. These things did not stop us from splashing around and having fun. We took a short trip on one of the days into Lassen and hiked around Manzanita Lake which was a beautiful easy hike/walk for both the youngest (<2 years) to the oldest (>70 years). Lots of nice picture opportunities there! Overall, I would highly recommend Grace Lake Resort! Theresa and Ray were easy to work with and helped make my parents' anniversary a very special event.

I’m not even sure how I came across Grace Lake Resort when I was looking for lodging for our state to visit Lassen national Park, but I’m sure glad I did! Just 20 minutes from the North West entrance, and just 1hr-ish from the South entrance. We stayed in the three-bedroom cabin, it was absolutely delightful! Wonderfully decorated with shabby chic decor, and the house literally had everything that you could want for a weekend away or more. All we had to do is bring food basically and our clothes. The sliding glass door off of the kitchen leads to a beautiful grassy area with a fire pit and barbecue. It also backs up to the wedding reception and ceremony area. Absolutely gorgeous with all the shade trees and the lawn. You could really tell the owner put a lot of thought into how comfortable I stay at their place with you.Pool wasn’t open when we went, but that would’ve been fun.||A couple things to note, that will make your stay extra comfy. First, bring bug spray. Bugs are fine during the day, but in the evening, I was bitten a lot by mosquitoes. Second, if staying in the big house, there were no chairs to lounge in outside, so I should’ve thought to bring some camping chairs. I asked the owner, and she said she’s in the process of ordering more. There are a few dining options near the house (Pioneer Pizza, Scoops Ice Cream looked cute, and a nice deli with a good selection in Reeds), enough for a weekend, and Reeds grocery store and the grocery outlet are both just a couple minutes away from the house. Both had plenty of stuff to get you through your trip. Made me regret stopping at Costco before we came over.||I’m not sure when we will be in the area again, but this house makes us want to plan a trip just around saying in it again!

Theresa & Ray at Grace Lake Resort Shingletown Ca. We’re awesome. Very friendly and very helpful. We had 140 people up for a Wedding. In June it was 110° in Reading and it was very comfortable at Grace Lake at least 10° cooler. It is beautiful with the green lawns and the tall large Pines. |The cabin so were lovely with individual themes and very well decorated.| The Grounds are well kept. The lawn was soft and green and the bark had been refreshed all around the beautiful tall pines. The cabins are in great shape and cutely appointed. The grounds are laid out perfectly as a venue for special occasions. The area of the Gazebo is large enough to hold the 180 chairs we sat out. There is a second clearing well laid out for dining tables with access from the road for the caterers or easy unloading. Then there is an outdoor bar area with a dance floor. |Everybody said what a wonderful venue it was and how well laid out and how cool it stayed even with the high temperatures in Redding.

Wonderful, peaceful, and soo beautiful.
Our cabin was well supplied with all that we needed for a 3 day stay. It was also very clean, neat and just a fantastic place to stay. Teresa met us the day we arrived assuring us if we needed anything at all they were only a short distance away and happy to help in anyway we may need. We never her again as our needs were all covered. This is one beautiful setting for a great getaway. We plan on returning again soon.

We had a great time at Grace Lake because we were with family and celebrating a Golden Anniversary! The cabins are clean and each one has a different theme. There is a gathering area outside the larger house and a full kitchen for cooking there. The fire pit was fun. We all sang and danced the evening away together. Nice time great facility. Kids swam in the pool and we played board games and horse shoes.

The cabin was beautiful. It was crazy hot inside the first night, but the next day the owner showed up saying he had the AC fixed and could he come inside to install it. Yes of course we want the AC hooked up, that changed everything and made the cabin comfortable. The small kitchen was serviceable. The shower was very small, but clean. The decor was well themed.
It was right along a beautiful tiny creek and came with chairs to relax creekside.
The pool was cold, and the setting was picturesque. The pool was surrounded by grass and tall trees with some kind of vine growing along the fence. It was one of the most beautiful and serene pools I've seen at such an accommodation. I loved staying here on the way up the mountain.
