I stopped by Mustard Seed because it was on the AAdvantage Dining Program list of participating restaurants. I needed to maintain my American Airlines account or lose 14,000 miles. Even though I checked the Mustard Seed website before I headed out, I arrived at the restaurant and didn't know what to order.

The employee greeted me warmly as I made my way to the counter. I asked about the chicken and turkey burger. She suggested the chicken. I then saw the special for Crispy Catfish Sliders & Fries. Of course, I ordered the sliders. It was Friday, and I usually cook fish. Even though I enjoyed my meal, the buns were well-toasted, the sauce made my fish slightly soggy, and the shredded lettuce wilted. The large bag of fries was delicious and well-seasoned.

I will go back to try other dishes. If I order the sliders again, I will ask for my bun to be lightly toasted and sauce on the side if possible. I picked off most of the wilted lettuce. If you are in the area, give Mustard Seed a try. My meal was under $14 with a tip and Service Fee (.25).

This place may have ruined me for chicken anywhere else. I had the half chicken with mashed potatoes. The flavor of the chicken was so intense and amazing. I would eat this again and again. I will certainly be back while I am in town.

The salmon rested on a bed of creamed corn that I could've also enjoyed as solo dish. Everything complimented one another, the asparagus was perfectly cooked and had the right amount of crispness. The salmon was scrumptious. The cornbread with the honey butter was an add on but was just as good with the entire meal. Portions were great and I was very pleased after trying Mustard Seed. Looking forward to ordering again soon.

Had the sheer luck of enjoying a meal that Mustard Seed catered. The food is beyond exceptional! I tried the tenders and the veggie wrap. Both had incredible depth and a level of balance in flavor that is truly, truly rare. For the tenders, the crunch, spice, moisture is pure art! The same can be said for the veggie wrap, so good!! I cannot wait to stop in or will reach out for our next event! Mustard Seed, you are a Chicago treasure!!

What on earth is this? I paid $16 for a frozen lean cuisine quality mac? It was such poor quality. Mac and cheese has a high profit margin due to the cheapness of the ingredients . I can get 3x the portion size for the same price at any other place. It wasn’t even packaged properly to avoid spillage. Just tinfoil over a cardboard tray. I thought this place would be good due to the clean environment and small amount of people waiting. I just tasted it and it tastes like vile ranch dresssing with kraft mac and cheese. Ugh gross. Do not buy from here. I

Absolutely loved Mustard seed kitchen, made an order in house and was greeted with the upmost respect. Food didn’t disappoint either, to pick a favorite I would say I can’t! Everything from the buttered corn bread to the honey mustard salmon and Cajun Alfredo was made to perfection. Blanca and her team really made this experience enjoyable! 10/10 can’t wait to come back!

Got the steak, salmon, rotini shrimp pasta, mixed greens salad, brussel sprouts, fried chicken sandwich, gumbo, corn bread, and chocolate cake

Everything was DELICIOUS and cooked perfectly. From time to time, I think about the honey mustard salmon and skirt steak 🤤

🐟HONEY MUSTARD SALMON : comes with asparagus and creamed corn. Delicious
🍝ROTINI SHRIMP PASTA: tomatoes + zucchini, onion, asparagus and FILLED with shrimp. Spicy & packed as you can see. Comes with garlic bread
🥗MIXED GREEN SALAD: Comes with crispy onion and a vinegrette
🌱BRUSSEL SPROUTS : char grilled perfectly, lightly sweet and carmalized
🍲GUMBO : not too salty and packed with chicken, andouille sausage, rice & veggies
🍗FRIED CHICKEN SANDWICH : a signature of theirs, with special sauce, super crispy chicken & housemade spices
🌽CORN BREAD - comes with butter, nice and moist and had bits of corn too
🍰 CHOCOLATE CAKE : super moist and decadent. Really rich and fudgy, which I LOVED

They have housemade drinks like southern sweet tea & lemonade. Super fresh and made daily, nothing done overnight

The flavors were spectacular! Highly recommend the salmon, steak, fried chicken sandwich, lemonade & chocolate cake!
