All, first I want to say that I love the nursing staff here. They are the best and the experience is amazing! My negative review here is in the new pricing. I’ve been a member of Nava for over 3 years and it was awesome to be able to get 2 IVs a month with your credits. But now you have to pay 150 dollars on top of paying for the membership each month. That makes no sense to me! You can go around town to numerous IV Drip places and get the same ingredients for 100-150 dollars without paying a membership. Plus they are also charging your insurance for doctors visits. Starting to sound like a scam to me, so unfortunately for as long as I’ve been a member I am canceling my membership today. For all of you that continue, good luck!

I contacted the Nava Center to do an endocrinology consultation. They sent me several forms to fill prior to my visit. In one set of forms, they have included a form about becoming a member and paying a monthly/annual/fee. If you click the agree button, you agree to all forms including the membership. Strangely, they required a bank card for their record which made me suspicious of withdrawn money automatically after pushing the agree button since there was no way you can separate that form from other forms included. I did not push the agree button, so I called. I was told the membership is optional, but the system did not say so. Also, during the call I asked by accident if they recognize the insurance I have since I provided the info/insurance card during my previous call and included it on the online forms. I was told it covers only the blood test since they do not recognize that particular insurance. This was a different practice from other clinics I have contacted for various health issues since they ask upfront what kind of insurance you have. If I was to go ahead with the visit, etc., I would have paid from my own pocket. I would be very cautious about this company.

I found this practice to be somewhat predatory. They take insurance, but only for the cost of the appointments. Every supplement, service, an treatment is charged out of pocket. The practice was up front about this, but they waited until I was a week into the onboarding process to tell me that their business model is subscription-based, like a gym. So you pay monthly for one of their many, differently price packages, regardless of whether your received care that month. Also, the monthly fee can also ONLY be applied to the cost of an appointment. You cannot use it pay for the supplements they prescribe (which come from their own practice, you cannot get them anywhere else, conveniently) and the fee can't go towards any of the very expensive treatments that are out of pocket costs. They did do a very extensive panel of bloodwork that a regular, in-network doctor would never do, and a doctor called me after they got the results to go over the lab work and analyze it for me in detail. That part was very helpful. My first 2 sessions with my thyroid-specialized dietitian at Nava were also somewhat helpful. He gave me some general advise about supplements and eating habits for thyroid conditions. But he didn't put together a diet plan for me. After the first 2 sessions, he admitted there was nothing he could do for me if I wasn't willing to pay $1-2k for a gut health "program" and other homeopathic treatments that were an out of pocket expenses. My day to day diet didn't seem like a priority to him. I know that most functional doctors don't participate with insurance at all, so I should just be grateful that at least the cost of appointments with the dietitian were covered. But I ended up paying more anyway because of the monthly fee. It felt like wasted money after the dietitian told me that there was no point in meeting monthly if I wasn't going to pony up for other treatment. I also wasn't thrilled that he suggested that I micro-dose illegal substances to help with my anxiety......it wasn't a horrible experience, I got some useful advise, but I can't recommend signing up. I'm working with a new Naturopath now, and they are expensive, but also very up front. There are no hidden fees, anything I need is covered by the agreed upon fee, even if the plan changes and I need new supplements or equipment from them. Now that I know what the experience is SUPPOSED to feel like, I don't think Nava measures up very well.

This is a long one, so hang in there with me. If you are made of money, ignore my review. From a health improvement perspective, me and my husband would highly recommend NAVA. Our energy, focus, sex drive and overall mood drastically improved (all reasons we seeked them out in the first place). We were both 28 and relatively healthy but needed that extra “umph”. We went to NAVA for about 8 months in 2024. My negative review is purely from a billing/financial perspective.

In order to gain access to NAVA, you are required to pay a monthly or annual subscription ($50+/mo). Appointments start out (for us) weekly to biweekly then every 3-4wks. Some in person, some virtual. We have great insurance that NAVA accepts (more on this later). We paid a copay at each appt ($15-25). Invoices are pages long for visits totaling 5min for lab work to 30-45min for consultations. Medications/supplements recommended to us were several hundred dollars per month. We found several supplements online for cheaper but we both took medication from a compounding company that was $300-400 for a 3 month supply. We are still receiving invoices from 6+ months ago for $15-200 each, after insurance. A card is required to be kept on file and is automatically billed the day the invoice is uploaded to the portal, leaving no time to budget for unexpected expenses (again, from 6+ months ago). When we called to ask if invoices can be mailed to us, you must pay to have each invoice sent individually.

To summarize $$$: we paid a monthly subscription ($50 each/month), copay each visit ($15-25), about $150-200/mo in supplements, $300 for an ointment every 3 months and $400 for prescription every 3 months, plus invoices from almost every appointment that weren’t covered by insurance ($15-200 each).

Again, if money is no object, I highly recommend NAVA. If you are a normal human, save your money — go to your primary care doctor to run basic testing, clean up your diet and work out.

I am not a Nava Health Customer, they are my customer. They had me install temporary window graphics for a new location that was due to open in Cary, NC. We completed the work satisfactorily in September 2024, but have not been able to extract payment from them despite dozens of phone calls and emails which never get returned. I would advise extreme caution to anyone doing business with Nava Health, and I would certainly caution against putting your health in the hands of a company with such unscrupulous principles and flagrant disregard of basic ethical practice.

I have been searching for YEARS. 35 and I am not looking back. Been going to sports massage has 2005 and I have never had a massage how Latasha provided me today. I will be seeing her twice a week if not more throughout the month I have complete relief. She also helped with my TMJ and the ladies here have been absolutely so caring and extremely customer first and making sure that I’m comfortable along with already proving that they can provide me results for a better happier, healthier life.

This is a cash grab medical spa. I was seen at NAVA for 7 months. I sought them out to get my hormones tested and balanced as I was experiencing a number of bad symptoms. After 7 months and a lot of money my test results showed my hormone levels were worse than when I started treatment. Their solution was to push more of their overpriced supplements. I canceled all my appointments. They also kept trying to push Botox and fillers on me which I found to be offensive. I thought this was a medical practice but it’s really not. Very disappointed. However, if you’re looking for a place to get Botox it might be good.

My experience with the Fairfax Nava Health office has been amazing. I have always desired a Health facility like this one to look at my total health with several options. All of the esthetics nurses, doctors, administrators, dieticians, health coaches have been knowledgeable and assisted me beyond expectations. However yesterday I had my first Acupuncture service. Julie, truly made me appreciate Chinese Medicine. I'm looking forward to a healthier lifestyle with more balance.
Thank you,
Marvette
