I truly had a five star experience with NC Solar and my solar + battery system installation. Out the 4 different solar companies quotes I received, NC solar was by far the best overall when it came down to product, service and cost. The entire process to about 5 months as expected. I was an upfront timeline plus I receive emails and calls from the service team, so I knew exactly where we were in the process with the permits, HOA approval, product delivery in schedule. The actual installation took only 2 days and the following day I was producing my own energy. I'm 100 percent happy with this investment and I would without hesitation recommend the NC Solar company to anyone considering going solar. Solar + Backup Battery is the perfect system.

If you don’t get a quote from this company, I feel sorry for you! After much research and multiple quotes, NC Solar Now won my business for solar with battery install. Here is why: No pressured sales tactics, straightforward competitive pricing on a system with equipment from reputable and well known companies within the solar manufacturing industry. It was a bonus that they patiently answered all my questions (and actually explained why I didn’t need more panels when I asked about it), have great reviews (not without reason!), and a local NC team. They did not use subcontractors to do the work, which was an important point for me. The install was seamless and professional, even though my impatience made it seem like I had to wait a long time. The wait period was approx. 4 months, which is normal. If you never have had solar, like me, you find out there are many steps in the process before install. This company was excellent from day one, spelling out the processes and providing names and contact information for everyone involved along the way. We debated getting solar panels for several years before we finally decided to do it a few years ago. We got quotes from several companies and NC Solar Now had the best pricing for the equipment we wanted. We had to pause the project right after we started when we discovered we needed a new roof sooner than expected (manufacturer defect shingles) and NC Solar Now was excellent about working with us during that down time and getting us back on the schedule promptly. They were respectful of us and our property the whole way through installation of the solar array and kept us updated on the progress of the install as it went through the permit approval and design processes. The difference in our utility bills is profound.
Last year we decided to add battery storage to our array and once again NC Solar Now exceeded our expectations of quality and professionalism and were again extremely respectful of our property while doing the battery install. They were even super kind to one of our beagles who desperately wanted to keep them company while they were here. The peace of mind of not worrying about power loss during storms has been so wonderful and we are very glad we added batteries to our array. We are considering adding more and when that time comes we will be hiring NC Solar Now for that job as well. 10/10 would recommend and would hire again if we went back and did it all over again with the benefit of hindsight.

The installers were great, and I am more than satisfied with my system. I did have one repair that was needed, but the team got me on the schedule quickly, and it was resolved in a timely manner. So far, we are very happy with the solar panels. The process was longer than expected but well worth it. The NC Solar Now team was great: efficient, polite, professional, and communicative. The system works great (panels+battery). Be patient with the Duke Energy incentive check ($9k rebate, that may apply to you) it took about 2 months to get it after they approved the final stage. Overall, we are very satisfied with NC Solar Now.
