Don't fall for the speech about being part of the nerd family and getting discounts on future work and repairs. No one answers the phone in gilbert nor do they return phone calls. And the Tucson office, they'll answer then give you the run around.
I needed some solar panels removed for roof repairs, nerds cost was higher than everyone else, so much for discounts.
Then after two years one of the ac units they installed stopped working, it took three days before I got a hold of anyone and a they still haven't scheduled anyone to come out and fix it and it's been two weeks. So once they finish the install your pretty much on your own.

(This review is based on my personal experience dealing with this company after they sucked us into their sales funnel. We only lost $1,100 getting out of the situation.) This is one of those scamny solar companies whose superpower is confusing you with numbers. What should cost you $11k costs up to $80K or $90K through NeRD. They make a pretty profit, don’t they? DO THE MATH. And check out local resources like Tucson’s solar co-op Solar United Neighbors for a chart of how much you should be paying (and lots of other great info).

Highly recommend Desert Sky Roofing if you need an honest roofer!

Highly recommend NERD Power as they worked with us through every step of the way in the replacement of our roof. Specially working with Oscar Manriquez, he was super friendly and very knowledgeable answering every question we had. Great experience overall and feel like our needs were definitely met!

Originally I was so excited to work with this company but unfortunately they were a huge disappointment. Installation was disorganized and it took forever for us to get our solar power up an running (almost 2 months). They sold the service to us as a great thing to help us save money this summer but we didn't save any money this summer because the installation took so long. Communication wasn't great either. Our selling agent ghosted us after the initial install and the rep who took over often left out important information like when the City of Phoenix will be inspecting etc (and much more). Now they are asking for $2500 more blaming it on the "lender" for withholding this information. I really regret working with NeRD. There are a ton of great companies out there. Please don't make the same mistake we did.

3 stars for the overall experience. 10 stars for Petra. Petra is amazing. Once she got involved with my case things started to move. I truly believe that she actually wanted to help me get all the delays and issues resolved. She seemed to actually care. Thank you Petra for your dedication and amazing service.

I had a great experience during installation process. But been trying for weeks to get a response for removal for roof replacement. Feels like once they get your solar installed they don't care about their customers. At least a response to let me know that they are working on it. Or to tell me I need to hire someone else to do it. My contractor has someone to do it. But I don't want to void any warranty. Contractor said that he knows clients with sane issue

Contracted Nerd Power on Solar for my home after seeing an install they had done at a friends house. I started interviewing Nerd Power late June and entered into a contract for Solar on July 19, 2022. The system was turned on September 19, 2022. I had 35 panels installed to support my home. The project duration amazed me but after following the project closely it is apparent to me that the long pole in the tent is the Utility company and not any backlog at Nerd Power. Luckily for me my Utility company was not backlogged.
My Experience was exceptional on all aspects of the project: Sales, Design, Install, orientation on the system and now the after install support i receive. I find the entire Nerd Team is very professional and educated and was pleased that when someone didn't know an answer to my question they said so and went went away and found the answer quickly.
After my install, which was done in one day, the first step is the inspection by the City. I was present when the inspector came out so i accompanied him to the side of the house for his review. The inspector was so impressed with everything Nerd Power had done that he took pictures and said he was going to use them to educate other solar installers on what was expected to pass an inspection.

I will definately recommend Nerd Power to my friends and relatives who expresses interest in adding solar to their home.
