Guy who said his name was Peter showed up from Nivo at my door in a no solicitation neighborhood with a long winded speech. After 2 minutes I still had no idea why he was there and asked if he was with a solar company. That sparked another speech about how they’re not like other solar companies.

When I tried to say I didn’t have time right now but I’d like a business card to contact him later he got mad, asked me if I knew what was happening in the neighborhood on a certain date, and when I asked “what’s happening?” He said “oh but you said you didn’t have time” then stormed off through my lawn. He was banging loudly on people’s doors 3-5 times after hitting the doorbells too.

I’m normally very understanding of people in sales and have talked to a few solar people who have come to my door in the past. This guy was just unprofessional and rude.

Update: the guys name is actually Homei Okanishi. He gave a fake name when I said I’d be leaving a review. He visited a family members house nearby with the same pitch and was recorded on the doorbell camera.

Where to start? Please read your contract the minute you get it. I am new to solar had it for a minute, wish I had done my due diligence
There has been different solar rep in my neighborhood for months. My husband and I have turned them down. My husband finally said there was a rep that had a different offer and we set up a meeting with Dylan from Nivo. We were sold the idea that our home was chosen as a model home and the free installment was base off a government program here in Florida. We would get the installments and at any time we are unsatisfied they would be happy to remove the system. How we fall for this BS? I don't know. We are a middle class family just trying to save money. Dylan told us they were the contractor there's no third party, another lie. There's a financing company and sub contractors. We were shown possible output and savings. We only had the system 1 month and so far it's not producing enough to save us from paying our utility company. The part that they don't tell you is that they get tax credit for the panels cause it's lease, they can put a lien on your property or turn your power off if you default. You can't sell your home without them approving the new owner to pay the lease etc. It's all in the contract but if you don't read it and cancel in 10 days your trap. I have read the reviews of what these companies do to people especially older people and I'm just saddened by it. How they have these high reviews I don't know, they probably deleting the bad ones. I'm just trying to save someone from the misery and regrets after the fact. Do your homework.

They tell you your solar panels will be on them since you qualified for their model home program and that there is no extra insurance cost (they were wrong and paid the deductible since they were wrong) then once its activated(9 months after install) you get a bill saying your responsible for $102k over 25 years. I am getting legal counsel and anyone else this has happened to reach out, I can't imagine this not being a class action

Jacob and Harrison! Got my bill from 265 to 181 dollars a month. The were the absolute best salesman. I’ve had about 5 solar companies come to the house and none of them could explain how solar works with your homeowners insurance. These guys were able to explain that to me with ease and no hesitation. No out of pocket expenses for me either!

Jacob Nachinson and his team at Nivo Solar are phenomenal. From the moment they knocked on my door, to texting me with all the updates along the way, he was very personable and knowledgeable. He made sure to explain everything in great detail so that I could have a better understanding on how the solar panels would work and their benefits. What really caught my attention was when he used my current energy consumption and compared the cost with the electric company versus solar energy. The data doesn’t lie! You save money and you help save the planet along the way. Once I had made the decision to use Nivo as my solar company, they did everything they could to make it work. They even sent out a crew to trim down some trees that were blocking the sunlight, free of charge!! The installation was a smooth process and very professional. Everything was installed in one day. Overall, they did an amazing job, I highly recommend them!

Nivo made the entire process from the first meeting to installation transparent and easy for me and my wife.

Wade Jaskola was helpful, clear, to the point and is the most knowledgeable person I have ever met when it comes to Solar.

This company really has their operations dialed in and knows what they are doing in this space. I am saving money from day 1 and paid nothing out of pocket.

NIVO goes door-to-door looking for potential customers. For a company that is new to Florida, they should really look into hiring more professional employees as they are extremely rude when you begin to ask questions and deny wanting their solar services. I have a “No soliciting” sign by my front door and doorbell that clearly is being ignored as he still has the audacity to be rude. Pleasant interaction… total sarcasm. Train your employees on customs and courtesies.

Door to door salesman explained to me they were flying their drone over my home and homes in my neighborhood prior to speaking with me. Then shows me images of the top of my home and says it would be a good fit for solar.

Privacy concerns for sure. I question the legality of this as well as the outright disregard of people’s personal space at their homes.
