After being super skeptical for years of calls from alternate energy suppliers, I finally decided to give them a try for my business when a representative called. I'd even gone to the MI compare gas prices website and thought they seemed legit. After the first two months of their introductory rate (which didn't actually end up saving me anything), I got quite the unpleasant surprise come month 3 of finding out my rate went from 2.3838 to 11.4220 which equated to a $700 increase in my bill. How convenient that this just happened to fall during the month of January when we had unusually cold temps. I immediately called to cancel their service after receiving my bill and the lady that answered the phone knew right away that I wanted to cancel before I ever said anything and didn't even try to keep my business -- as if this happens all the time. I feel completely ripped off and scammed by Nordic.

This company is such as scam. They lured me into an extremely attractive promotional offer for couple months and then jacked up the price by 6 times after that without even mailing me the details of the new rate and its effective date ahead of time. I am stuck with a massive gas bill. I recommend everyone to stay away from signing up for their utility services as you will be hit with an unpleasant surprise in your utility bill later. I would have given negative stars had it been possible.

If I could give negative stars I would. When the representative came to my door the only reason I switched to Nordic is because they convinced me it was more affordable. Fast forward to when they showed up on our gas bill they charge $1.20 per unit where semco only charges 30 cents per unit. My monthly bill went from anywhere to $100-$150 a month all the way to $350-$420 I absolutely don't suggest them.

If I could give negative 5 stars I would. This company is a complete scam and definitely illegal. Do not fall for it.
After being called from PSEG choice program, an alternate energy suppliers, I was tricked to sign up with them on gas variable rate. After the first month of their introductory rate (which didn't actually end up saving me anything, the intro rate was similar to PSEG, ~.33 cents/therm), from month two I got a surprisingly high $700+ gas bill because they jacked up the price to $1.35/therm (that's almost 4 times higher than I usually get billed from PESG). How coincidental that this just happened to fall during the month of Dec-Jan when in NJ there were just unusually cold temps. How is this called saving energy bill, the rep from the call clearly said by switching to them I would've saved money from PSEG? I immediately called to cancel their service after receiving my bill, but it took over 2 months to get myself back to PSEG. I was charged another 2 months high gas bill before I could get back on my feet. I feel completely ripped off and scammed by Nordic.

A rep came to my door and knocked repeatedly. When I opened the door reluctantly, he stated he was just working alongside Nat. Grid to ensure we were using clean energy. Said he’d wait while I found my electric bill. I told him a competitor came by several months ago pulling this and somehow switched me without my authorization or the required blueprint, nor my signature on anything. He insisted they were not changing my supplier, rather they were just working alongside my current supplier to ensure clean energy compliance. He made it clear he wasn’t leaving and made me feel very uncomfortable. Though he could hear my crying baby inside my house, he pressed on. He had me answer yes to a bunch of questions and then had a rep call me on the phone. He made me put the call on speaker and walked me through what to say to these people. He said they would use words like “switch” and “change” but insisted there would be no change. This is deceptive practices. Even after telling him what happened to the rep who stole my information and changed my supplier without my consent, he still made the bold choice to attempt to prey on me. I wanted to see how far he’d take it, and he went for the home run and sealed his own fate. Thankfully you’re given 3 days to rescind, but this man lied with a straight face to make a sale. A complaint has been filed and I’ve been assured that no switch will take place.

Had a representative come to my door straight up lying to me saying he worked for my park. When I said there has been a lot of scams going around he proceeded to call me slurs and insult me. I asked him over 6 times to get off my property.

He refused and started calling me names and proceeded to insult me further.

He claimed to be a manager which was laughable holding a Nordic energy badge.

Very predatory sales tactics and aggressive salespeople who are down right disrespectful. Disgusting behavior

I was so glad when Nordic Energy showed up at my door. I had literally looked them up and was going to call them the next day. And with a weird synchronicity, they showed up at my door! I'm saving about five cents per kilowatt hour and they have this awesome rewards program where you could earn and get additional rewards for gift cards, products, and all sorts of things!

A guy from this company muscled his way into my 90 year old aunt's house. She said she was not interested but he came in anyway. She was flustered, confused and frightened. I got there after he had been there a while. She told him multiple times that she was not interested. He demanded to see her utility bills. He reeked of marijuana. She could not get him to leave. I demanded that he get out of her house. He was sitting at her kitchen table. He refused. I told him I was going to call the police. He wouldn't even get up from the chair. I got my German Shepherd and he finally left. He was really angry. Even though she said she wasn't interested HE SIGNED HER UP ANYWAY! She did NOT agree to anything nor sign anything. Taking advantage of an elderly lady with dementia is really low.
