I was so impressed by the professionalism and the technology employed by Michael Almeyda to solve a critical problem to restore hot water in my cold house that had no hot water. I had a house full of company that was terribly disappointed, until I got Michael on my trouble call. Through my iPhone, he was able to see my systems, guide me through the technical steps, and happily solve my problem. I am writing these details, because I was so impressed and I will recommend Noritz America always. * stars !!!!!!

Buyers beware! I thought my water was totally cut off and called the water company to find that it was my Noritz tankless water heater that was the issue. Consider when your tankless water heater goes out without warning after only the second year of usage and installation in a brand new home. This company does not standby the labor cost after the first year. They asked did I do a water testing and flush my tankless heater every year and informed me that I must do a water testing to determine if I have hard water. I tested mine and the results indicated mine was soft and according to their very own manual, I am not required to do a flushing or have a water treatment device. Now that my tankless water heater is not working, they tell me that I must flush it every year even though my water results indicate that I have soft water. They do not standby there own product. They want to blame the water no matter the results and I am responsible to pay a service provider. This is outlandish. Not only that, I am now required to flush my tankless water heater every year and install one of their water filters. This is investing in a money pit that seems to have no end. According to their very own manual, it states that no flushing is required if my water testing results are 0-1 gpg but now they are requiring me to do a flushing every year and to purchase a water filter to add to the tank and I have to pay out of pocket to have a service provider change a part that is covered under their the five year warranty. If you believed in your product why not cover both labor and parts according to the water testing results. Terribly disturbed and am considering installing a water tank!

I bought and installed a Noritz tankless water heater in 2019 and it has broken downs twice already. That's right, twice! It is junk and even the plumber that has done the flushes, maintenance and repairs has told me to never buy another one again. The same part has gone out twice and Noritz does not pay for labor.

I am an owner of a Noritz tankless hot water heater for over 5 years. After 5 years of use, the unit fired off a code 11- Unable to maintain flame in the unit. Most water heaters are out of warranty for certain parts after 5 years. And other parts for 15 years. My part was out of warranty. I was expecting to pay for parts. After hiring a professional to come and look at it, the technician wanted to charge $580 dollars just to clean the unit but couldn’t guarantee it would fix it. The technician called Noritz tech line and went through several tests and nothing was fixed. That was $280 dollars just for him to do what he could do with Noritz. Going on 5 days without hot water, I called Noritz tech line and they walked me through several tests. After some time and patience they sent me out a new gas manifold. Dealing with customer service was great- they could all speak English and had a lot of knowledge on the products. I have to say they are a great company.

All you people that have left a bad review have to take responsibility for not keeping up on the maintenance. Instead of spending time looking up stupid cat videos you should invest some time on educating yourself in the products you buy. If you don’t install a pre-filter and clean out the unit on a yearly basis, It is on you. You are most likely the person that runs your car out of oil and wonder why it doesn’t run. Instead of taking responsibility for your actions it is easier for you to wright a bad review. To all you that have written bad review you must be a 9-5 worker getting paid hourly and the only power you have is to get on your phone and destroy what others have build. Nothing but great things to say about noritz and all the staff. If you are reading this call the company and see for yourself.

DO NOT BUY STAY AWAY FROM COMPANY.

If I could rate this 0 star I would. EXTREMELY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE First I get put on hold so someone can call back took around +20 minutes the first guy was nice and willing to help but when i got transferred to the other guy (took around +20 minutes again) he wasn't talking for 2 to 3 minutes straight I kept saying "hello? Hello?" Finally he answered and here's the twist he sounded very much asleep mumbling words completely usless and lazy. After I told him my problem he went silent again like if he fell asleep not even listening so then I hung up because I wasn't gonna put up with that guy.

Takes over 4 minutes to get hot water. Put in a brand new unit which is supposedly their best in a full home remodel. I spent literally over 3hrs with customer service. They made me hire a plumber as my installer said everything was installed correctly. After having a different plumber troubleshoot, they said everything looked correct. Once again, I am still dealing with over four minutes to get hot water. Trying to call customer service and I’ve been on hold for 45 minutes without anyone or anything giving me any indication of where I am in line and all I hear is music playing in the background. Customer service is terrible and they will not assist by sending out a tech. I’m so disappointed with my plumber for advising to go with this brand. I will make sure to tell everyone I know to stay away from this manufacturer

Stay way at all cost!

We were out of hot water for 4 weeks. Still not fixed. The unit is 2 years old and we live in a brand new built town home complex, where 38 units of this water heater were installed. Half or our neighbors had issues with error codes within 2 years. We were the unlucky ones that after 4 visits from the plumber, it is not fixed still.

The unit started by having one error code, trigged to multiple. Have parts shipped to us a few days later at a time during the middle of the winter. There is truly a lack of urgency with Nortiz. We had to stay at a hotel to shower.

Initially it was a diagnosis which would cost $600 from the plumber, then they say the igniter was eroded, shipped a new one. A week later, it was the sensor that stopped the burner from working. Then going back to the original error code of 63.

One thing fall apart, every visit there is something new. The whole process was initiated by myself with the local plumber who dealt with Nortiz on countless hours on the phone.

A month later, Nortiz finally called me after they received my initial repair request. Bear in mind, it’s still within warranty but they made it impossible to have things done.

Horrible customer service, very fragile unit once having issues, might as well to buy a new one. I would not recommend using this company. Simply for the fact that their support system is not there at all when unit fails. And these units are not build to last.

And we live in CA!!! I can’t imagine going through winter on the east coast without hot water!
