Awful company meter readings don't really work. I moved out November they are trying to bill me all this time when I called in to let them know I moved out. Nancy (the heavy smoker or person short winded) always answers the phone but I'm not sure if she always notates the accounts. Awful experiences!

They are the best. Workers today needed access to my back yard and they folded up my wind tattered tent for me! 💖
Hardly ever have power outages..
Wish the government was a efficient and effective as they are..
Mr. B. Bailey is a wonderful representation of the workers!🥳

We've been a customer of NOVEC for the last 2 years, but not by choice. With the way electric companies are designed as monopolies in Virginia, we do not have access to any other providers in our area.

If I could give zero stars, I would. The number of times we have been without power over just the past 4 months is unacceptable, and NOVEC does not seem to be doing anything to improve the reliability of their service. Customers should not need to rely on generators to run for more than a couple hours to retain electrical services during outages.

Power lines get damaged, trees fall, etc. But NOVEC has zero interest or incentive to improve, such as burying at-risk power lines, so we have been left without power for up to 17 HOURS during the summer (August 3, 2024). They do not have enough staff to handle the massive storms that roll through NOVA. One tree should not take out an entire section of Loudoun for 8 hours or more.

NOVEC is the complete opposite of reliable, and if you have the option to use Dominion Energy, choose Dominion.

Update 02/15/25 -Amazing Howard 👍
We lost power during freezing rain, within minutes Howard from Novec showed up in the Novec Power Rangers truck, found the blown out fuse (2 minutes), removed the shorting branch(5 minutes) and replaced the fuse (5 minutes). Thanks Howard and thanks Novec 👍

Novec usually restores our power outages pretty quickly taking in consideration population mass per square mile and number of outages. Happy with them because their response has been improving every year since I moved to Nokesville in 2004.

There was some kind of problem with the power line that was affecting only our house…power went out 12:30 AM. Dispatcher had someone out to us fast…sent two gentlemen presumably a journeyman and apprentice. They had it figured out pretty fast….thank you so much!!

I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Kristy over the phone, and I must say, her customer service was outstanding. Right from the beginning, Kristy’s friendly and welcoming tone made the entire experience pleasant. She was incredibly attentive, patiently listening to my concerns and providing clear and helpful information.
Kristy’s professionalism shone through as she took the time to address each of my questions thoroughly, ensuring I had all the details I needed. Despite the conversation being over the phone, I felt like I was receiving personalized, one-on-one service. She truly made me feel valued as a customer.

It’s not often that you encounter someone who can deliver such a high level of service through a phone call, but Kristy did just that. Her dedication to helping me was evident, and it made all the difference in my experience. I’m grateful for her assistance and wouldn’t hesitate to reach out again, knowing I’m in good hands with Kristy.

I’m a 7 year member with NOVEC cooperative
I’ve waisted half a day trying to get a new Account (4) turned on for one of our properties, I had spoke to 2 other reps previously, the first two were fine on the second call I was advised to call to let them know once the previous owner had paid the last bill outstanding before they can proceed to turn the new account on. well I had the confirmation number that the previous owner gave me once they made payment, this third call the customer service representative Was Jocelyn and I must say that when it comes to customer service she has zero desire in providing it, I asked her to ask my wife permission to give her speak with me regarding the account since her English is not so great, she did not want to do that and in fact she went above and beyond to ensure we had a negative impression of NOVEC and at this point if we had a choice to go with a different energy provider we would be moving all of our accounts out of NOVEC due to the poor customer treatment provided by Jocelyn. If you are a consumer calling the customer service # for new service do yourself a favor and ask for someone else if you get her on the line. Hopefully management will send her for training in customer service and care. Sincerely 7 year NOVEC member with multiple accounts.

No emergency dispatch and don't give a second to transfer account to the new owner insted they take out whole meter and tell new owner to call customer service again for the installation, even though I called one week before and scheduled for installation with proof of property purchase request. I am wondering why counties are still bowing down to them specially PW and continue to keep their license with bad customer service!
