Indeed, I will vouch for most of these comments. Today I came across one of the representatives by the name of Keisha; yes, I will put her name out there; that lady doesn't have any home training at all; she is rude and abnoxious. She had the nerve to tell me to stop calling because they told me about the amount that I owned and there's nothing I can do about it. My thing is, if you don't like your jobs, quit making space for someone else that really needs to work.

If there were an award for incompetence, apathy and rudeness...the winner would be....NYC DEP! They'd like to thank a city that hires (almost exclusively) people who don't care and couldn't find their own reflection in a mirror.
We complained to them in April that they were overbilling us for our water and remarkably nothing has been done. Bravo!

For my 300th yelp review, it only feels right to highlight the greatest tap water to ever do it. The Dom Perignon of tap water, the '95-96 Chicago Bulls of tap water, the '85 bears of tap water. New York City tap water, THIS IS FOR YOU!

I remember living in the dystopian city of Los Angeles, having to run my tap water through a Brita filter like some kind of scrub. But no longer. I saw the error of my ways and had to make the cross country move to be able to drink the elixir of life straight out of the tap, just like our founding fathers intended. Wait, y’all are still using Brita filters!?!?!?!? Couldn’t be me!!

...............................Okay wow I need to eat my words here. I did a quick google search on nyc tap water hoping to find some glowing peer reviewed studies, only to find a full article on why it is not as good as most people claim. Damn. She really did her research too wow. Okay yeah. Idk. I might not even post this now.

They caused me fights with my tenant, which ended up in lost rent for 10 months, and the costly lengthy eviction, after the tenant refused to allow them inside the house. Because they wanted to “inspect the meter”!

They started sending massive (estimated) monthly bills until we got the tenant out and they got into the property.

There was nothing wrong and they had no business forcing their way into my private property.

terrible service. Called to report loud overnight construction and the department of environmental protection performed an "investigation" in which they found that nothing is wrong with construction till 3am outside a residential building. Also hung up on me on the phone several times.

I've contacted them numerous times to resolve a noise issue. Seems like those responsible for handling noise complaints are quite incompetent. I've even contacted the DEP commissioner via email but wasn't able to resolve a chronic noise pollution issue.

Horrible service!! First you wait a long time to get someone on the phone with a terrible attitude and in the end not helpful at all. These government agencies are so frustrating to deal with. Why employ people that do not want to be there and serve? It’s so inefficient like everything else with this city. So sad!!!

This is perhaps the WORST agency in the city, I have personally called many times in reference to asbestos critical violations and after giving me the runaround, when the inspectors went to the job sites, shaked hands with supervisors and leave without going in containments, it's a shame how unskilled untrained and irresponsible people are inspectors. This agency should let the US EPA CID take over.
