I had the pleasure of working with Jacob and Team 5 for the installation of solar panels at my home, and I couldn't be more impressed! From start to finish, the team demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and outstanding customer service.

Jacob was extremely knowledgeable and walked me through every step of the process, explaining all the options available and helping me choose the best system for my needs. The installation itself was smooth and efficient, and the team made sure to keep everything tidy throughout the job. They completed the work on time and ensured everything was functioning perfectly before finishing up.

I also appreciated their transparency throughout the project, and they took the time to answer all my questions. The whole process felt seamless, and I now feel confident that my home is equipped with an energy-efficient, sustainable solution.

I highly recommend Jacob and Team 5 for anyone considering solar panel installation in the Denver area. Their professionalism and attention to detail truly set them apart!

I need to thank both Justin Marean and Johann for all they did. The best 2 people, by far, I dealt with at OurWorld. My system is finally complete thanks to them.
Update: 12/10. Failed final county inspection 3. Reaching out to BBB and Colorado attorney general. RIDICULOUS
Update: we just failed our 2nd county inspection. We started in may, system installed in July. We are now in December and still not close to being done. Ridiculous
My wife and I decided to move from our house built in the 90’s and move into a new energy efficient and more practical house. In addition to xeriscaping our side yard, I finally convinced my wife that energy independence through solar power with a battery would be the way to go. Not to mention xcel and the federal government offering great rebates.
Was it worth it? I couldn’t tell you as we are 6 1/2 months into choosing Our World and I still am waiting for the final inspection and the “switch to be flipped.”
I researched and talked to about a dozen companies, turned most of them down and decided to go with our world. The salesman was great and the financing couldn’t be beat. Everything went splendidly at first. By mid July we had the panels and battery installed. Our project manager was on top of it and I was blown away and singing Our Worlds praises everywhere.
However, things soon started to deteriorate quickly. We kept having appointments set for further work completely disregard led.
It started with our time frame being ignored. My wife actually had to waste a day of pto as the techs that were set to be there didn’t show up. I had to switch around my work schedule as well to allow techs access to my garage. They didn’t show up again. Or if the did they were tardy. No contact, no notification. In the instances they did come out they were late constantly. We had several occasions where we would be given a 10-3 window of arrival only to have the techs show up at 5 or 530. At one point we had a tech leave bottles of spray paint for my 8 year old son to discover. Luckily he resisted the urge to try them out. We had solar panels left in our backyard haphazardly placed with no communication. They’re much bigger than they look!
We at one point had 2 tech’s vans parked smack dab in the middle of our alley so neighbors couldn’t pass and one of the techs was actually napping in my driveway. We had our project manager telling us the techs were coming out for things that had already been completed and techs griping to us as they were confused as to what their work orders were telling them to do. It was chaotic.
It got so bad that my account was escalated to a senior manager at the end of August. He apologized profusely admitted that my “account was an absolute mess,” compensated us for all the mistakes and vowed to ensure everything would be smoothly and we set a 3 week timeline for completion. I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt and wipe the slate clean.
I’m really confused as to what happened the day of our first inspection. Our tech said he would meet the county inspector at our house at noon. The tech then showed up at 12:20 very flustered. He claimed he was double booked and missed our inspector entirely.
I was stoked. But then our project manager contacted me to let me know that the plans were denied. Apparently our county is strict and the work that was done, in July, didn’t match the plans that were submitted several months prior.
I was told 1-3 weeks and here we are, past the 3 week mark and over 6 months after we decided to start our project. On a 12-16 week initial quote.
But our new dilemma is that the way the financing was explained to me was completely inaccurate. I was told we could go for no money down and have an interest rate of 8.49%. Our we could “buy down the loan,” put money up front for 3.99%.
The next day I received a call from the financing company who were quite confused as to what I was talking about. They explained there was no money due upfront. Instead they expect nearly 3 times the amount of the “buy down,” which doesn’t exist by 02/26.

The level of professionalism and knowledge that this company has is outstanding. From day one all the way through our install I never had to wonder where we were at in the installation process. Matt, Jarred, and Kim were who I mostly dealt. They treated us more like family than customers, which made the process stress free. They continue even after install check in and make sure we are satisfied. I would highly recommend OWE to anyone.

The entire Team 1 was amazing. The installation was fast and installed earlier than the promised date. The whole team was very respectful and very informative. I’d recommend them to everyone thinking about solar. Shout out to Matt and Spencer Schwartz! They made this such an easy process. Literally no stress. Thank you all so much!

Our sales person was not pushy and was understanding of our situation. Our project coordinator, John, was ever so helpful. He keep us up to date on our project. We would get text messages or phone calls regularly to keep us up to date. And if we felt insecure about anything, Joh was just a phone call away.

I have had an amazing experience with OWE! They have followed the installation of the panels and months later follow up regularly. Rea, the manager has been very efficient and so very pleasant to work with! I appreciate her dedication to her work!

Johan Lumsden arrived on time & was very professional. He competently completed the work that needed to be done.

Today, Tyler made a site visit to make sure that the system was running correctly. He was very professional & was able to make an adjustment to our solar system that now allows the Tesla App to show how much of the energy produced mby the panels is being used to run our house. We very much appreciate Tyler’s work & his ability to clearly explain aspects of our solar system that we needed additional info on.

I’ve put off writing this review for weeks hoping this company would show some initiative and fix what they’ve done to our house, but alas, it’s been at least a month now and nothing is being done; and it’s clear this company only cares about raving reviews without putting much effort into earning it.
Our solar panel install went fine, panels themselves are great. The issue(s) lie with the aftermath of the install. It only took a few days for our breakers to start blowing (which, mind you, we live in a house built within the last 3 years and have never had issues prior to the solar install). At first, we were optimistic into thinking this could be a simple fix from the solar company and we could move on. Wrong. Initially, the service guys came out and we were met with “well if this happens again, just call us back; maybe you should unplug everything”. It happened within hours of him leaving that day. Whatever, moving on. We reached out again immediately, and (a week later) another service provider came out and turned off the solar panels themselves to see if the problem would persist. It did. We reached out again. And again, a week later, another service provider came out, poked around for hours, and we were met with “well, this isn’t our fault.” Nothing further. At this point, we can barely use our microwave. We can’t run our vacuum. We can barely use our coffee maker, garage door, the list goes on. I digress.
STILL, we were thinking, ‘well, maybe we should get an outside opinion on this to see if it’s just a weird coincidence.’ So we brought an electrician out to diagnose the issue and longer story short, the issue links to the solar inverter. I know, the plot thickens.
So here we are, over a week after the electrician diagnosis, and a text message to the solar rep met with “I’ll reach out to the team” with no further response a week later. So, I’m laying it all out on the table hoping this company will FINALLY take responsibility and show some decent customer service or maybe, dare I ask, some care for their customers having to tiptoe around using everyday appliances around the house and fix the issue before we start getting lawyers involved.
Despite what this book of a review looks like, my family isn’t a bunch of Karen’s trying to tear down a company. But hindsight being 20/20, I wish I could’ve read something like this before this nightmare of an installation. So reader, beware, and hold your vacuums and microwaves a little tighter at night, because Lord knows I miss mine.
