Outdoor Supply lost a longtime customer today. Return policy is usually 90 days but with pumps it is zero. So after 60 days I have a $600 broken pump and a sorry that is company policy. There are much more and less expensive options in town that I will be doing business with for now on. On one note the employees were very kind and professional the entire visit I have nothing against them just the company.
Update: the staff suggested I call the manufacturer for their warranty information. I discovered this distributor no longer exists. This means that OSH is knowingly selling a discontinued, faulty product at full price that will inevitably stop working with no customer recourse. That's absolutely criminal.

If I could give zero stars I would. Horrible customer service, unknowledgable staff, not willing to even help look for simple items or ask other staff members for assistance. And lucky us, they even blew a ton of dirt all over our car with their leaf blower in the parking lot, didn't even offer to blow it off.

I believe these stores are owned by the same owners as OSH since you see the OSH logo throughout the store and it is because of that reason that you find whatever it is you're looking for. They got everything: Garden, cleaning supplies, landescaping, tools, hardware, lights, faucets,etc. The prices on most stuff are close to competition but there are some big ticket items that are a lot more expensive than anywhere else.
The customer service is excellent and most associates were knowledgeable and helpful. Because of the layout and the size of the store, however, it was sometimes difficult to find someone to help. But all in all a good store to spend time and shop at.

We are eating at the IHOP and I see a hardware store. Naturally I had to go check it out. This place had most home improvement and problem solving parts for your home. I was amazed to see so many products in the store. The only thing not included was a lumber yard. I don't think most homeowners are concerned with that

I bought a metal hose to fix a new shower assembly from this business. What I used did not work and Outdoor Supply H/W in Capitola refused to give me a refund. I took other pieces of the assembly back to Ace hardware where I had purchased them and they took them back and gave me a refund. Which store would you buy from? Good bye Outdoor Supply and your lousy customer policies.

Nice people but hard to support local when the economy is so bad and the prices here are triple compared to Home Depot. We tried!

I wish I could give 6 stars. I was served by 5 different people today on my quest to purchase a reciprocating saw and some mulch and every person was so friendly, patient and helpful.

I will not be going to any other hardware stores moving forward. Well done.

We were very excited to see this store reopened under a different name and frequent it often. Service has always been good if not great until today. We went in to purchase something specific and there was not a sales person to be seen. So we carefully helped ourselves in opening a box to see the contents. And then suddenly an older gentleman appeared out of no where with a very crabby tone and demeanor. He was not helpful at all but rather rude and treated us like thieves. We are two elderly females so also felt dismissed by him. When I called to talk to the manager a young man answered saying they had all gone home ( 3:30 pm): so the young man offered an assisted manager to speak with. After asking him a few questions it was clear it was the individual that treated us so badly so I declined the request to talk to him. I will call the corporate office to express my concern as Capitola deserves better!
