It was a great time in nature and learning about different animals! Got to do some bird watching when we walked a trail, played a game to learn more about the water cycle, then had a picnic on site, and lastly got to meet a few animals and even pet a snake as we learned about different types of science that some animals use to their advantage everyday! Very cool field trip for the kids and its open to the public each day too!

What a great find! While staying at Fort Moore, we found this great place to explore,
Geo-cache, take Cooper on an outing, and visit the educational environmental center.
This is a fantastic space to bring children of all ages.

The Oxbow Meadows Environmental Learning Center is a hidden gem! I’ve tried to visit the center before but have only been able to view the exterior of the facility. I finally made it to Oxbow Meadows Environmental Learning Center during regular operating hours and was blown away at what I had been missing. There are multiple rooms with live exhibits, activity rooms, and an auditorium for workshops. They recently had a workshop on bees, which matching the hives they maintain on the grounds on the outside for viewing. Had a blast today! Went to a birthday party and it was awesome. My girls had a blast. Def will be back to bring my son as well at some point. Located across from the infantry museum on Lumpkin road. Really cool place to check out. The kids got to sit on stage in the auditorium for a special show for the party and got to see reptiles and learn some cool info!

We went on a bird-watching walk with Collin this past weekend and it was wonderful. Highly recommend it if they offer it again. She was quite knowledgeable on the local birds and we saw a total of 23 on our walk, which lasted about 2 hours. We also saw a baby turtle that one of the employees found while working. We really liked this place and will return on a future trip.

Amazing place for little kids. I took my son (5 years old) to the Reptile Show this morning and he loved it. Great variety of specimens, dinosaur fossils, the bee keeping was fascinating, and there was plenty of hands-on to do on site, too. Staff was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. We had a great time.

One of the best kept secrets in Columbus. Plenty of activities and learning opportunities for kids and adults. Take your kids here, they'll quit complaining for a few hours

Attended a lecture on snakes here and was able to pet various live snakes! A lovely little museum and, for lack of a better term, "mini zoo." Pretty grounds, walking trails, a dog park. You can make a day of visiting Oxbow and the Infantry Museum, which is basically across the street. Thankful for the work they're doing here and to have this gem in our community.
