Great experience overall.

A team of 6 with 3 trucks and a skid steer made quick work of the tree trimming and cleanup. The trucks were clean, well marked and professional in appearance.

As the last job of the day it is often hard to get good results. They all hustled until after 6 pm and left the once very messy street, better than they found it.

They will be our first call the next time we need tree work.

Paynes Environmental is an amazing and professional tree removal service. My office is surrounded by Palm Trees. We had one 40 foot Palm Tree die this past month. They came out, trimmed all of our other Palm Trees, and took down the dead Palm (cutting it up and grinding the stump) in less than 2 hours. They left my office area immaculate. I am very pleased with their service and I highly recommend them.

Terry reviewed my trees and explained his recommendations in prep for hurricane season as well as for the general good health of all my trees. Knowing that he has all the appropriate credentials also was very important to me!! The quote was fair and a date and time was set up for the work.

Had one tree to remove and some others to be trimmed and was quoted 4500. But we wanted a second quote for another tree and he quoted us 3000. For it.and that was fine, then he told us if we did both he would remove 500.00 off the bottom price of 4500. If we did them all at one time but at the time of payment forgot about the discount and we paid full price. If we had known we would have waited to spend another 3000.00. Then told us we were wrong. Make sure that everything they say to you is in writing. If you are promised a discount then make them write it down because apparently they do forget what they say. This statement was made to my husband and I was present when he said it. I heard it with my own ears and so did my husband. We both are very shocked and the one who handled our business is very condescending as well. He tells you what you are going to do. And if he forgets of course you are very wrong. I will not use this business again. It's not the job they did but if you can't depend on a man's word, then I will find someone who I can trust to do what they say. We actually had a quote in writing for the one tree that Payne quoted 3000.00 for that was less but went with Payne's because because the discount made it worth it just using the one company but from now on we will either get that discount in writing or we will go with the cheapest price on the work required .

We contracted with Payne's for a significant amount of work. Shortly after trimming one of the palm trees we noticed it was declining and then died. We believe this is because of how it was trimmed. We contacted Payne's and they agreed to remove the tree but have put us off week after week. I have called the office multiple times and asked to speak to the manager but have not heard from him. We have also had other issues. I like to deal with someone who is honest and reliable and true to their word but we unfortunately have had that experience with Payne's.

Payne's damaged custom concrete curbing on my property and gave me the run-around for 3 MONTHS before denying to make the repair. At one point, they sent a crew, unannounced, to my home just before 7:00am on a Sunday to take standard concrete to patch our completely broken custom colored concrete landscape border!! They couldn't believe we found this unacceptable.
The worst part is, damaging the concrete borders was a major concern before we ever hired them. I was assured they are licensed and insured and, should they cause any damage, they are highly reputable and would make it right - WRONG. They also broke a sprinkler head which we fix ourselves.
Their staff didn't pass along messages, didn't return calls as promised and didn't follow through with the multiple opportunities I made for them to rectify the issue. On the phone, I was constantly addressed as sweetie, babe, and honey which I find unprofessional and belittling in business discussions. The owner adamantly denied getting on the phone with me to discuss the issue and said it was impossible for his equipment to cause such damage, yet he never saw the damage for himself!!
They do a great job on the trees, you just better hope they don't cause costly damage to your personal property because they certainly will not rectify the issue or even give you the courtesy of a discussion of the matter.

It is a rarity that you meet honest, knowledgeable and caring people when conducting business... especially when you find yourself in an emergency like tornado aftermath. In one day, Paynes Environmental had us up and running without missing a day of business with landscaping looking better than ever. They were able to alleviate all of our anxiety and were a true Blessing to us! You just can't find quality work ethic like this these days. A special thanks to Terry and Chris!
