Make sure you get everything you need before you get here. They got a couple of old bags that work in here. And these females start throwing everything out food wise. So they don’t have to do any work while they’re here. So they can sit around and play on their phones And bump their gums. Hot dogs and all that stuff. this is the overnight shift, of course. they need to hire some younger folk

This truckstop has always been one of my favs. I noticed a sign on the door stating all commercial trucks must carry snow chains between Nov 1st and April 1st. This sign is very misleading, only certain states require chains, do your homework drivers. Petro trying to sell snow chains.

After midnight, it's been snowing since 8. I-81 was not getting too slick but 511 reported a accident 10 miles north of me so I decided to stop here at Petro exit 29.

Truck stop store is open, and I bought 2pr of gloves, reasonably priced. A Arby's and Sbarro located here but closed. Good options in the store.
Very friendly, nice workers. Answered, "No charge for a cup, water or ice. "
Clean throughout,including restrooms.

Very cold outside so having a warm place to sit inside and charge my phone for free instead of burning my gas waiting in a pkg lot to stay warm was a bonus. Safe, clear sidewalks &pkg lot, not slick or icy.
Glad it wasn't a heavy snow, just a dusting to a inch or so here.
Good job.

I also stopped here last year and got a meal at Arby's, at inside. Was good food, friendly workers and clean place.
Worth the stop.

This Petro is good on Showers being clean. However They are taking more of the free parking spots and putting them as paid parking. The parking at night in this parking Lot is beyond crowded. Trucks are parked where they should not be parking. I had to wake a driver up to move out of the road on one of the lanes to move so I could get through. This needs to be addressed asap

The absolute cleanest restrooms on the road--comparable to Buckees!
Very friendly staff.
My #1 place to stop, refuel and use restrooms.
Also- pizza is superb with a lot of variety!!

Everything is good here, the only problem is they don't accept the ultra one rewards for any food , they got a sign telling drivers to redeem for food on coolers, well I don't see any food on coolers 😁, oh but they gladly accept you putting diesel here. The manager need to be ashamed because this is a franchise Petro, So need to follow rules.

Petro is the best choice at Exit 29 Glade Spring, VA. They have new Gas pumps with TV screens that are entertaining and BP Gas and Auto Diesel. Very competitive prices, Clean Restrooms with attendants on duty 24/7, fully touch free and real paper towels to dry your hands!! That's a welcome amenity these days.
Lots of hot food selections for carryout or dine in. I like the full service hot food bar for the Hot Wings and many veggies to pick from.
