We heard about this place and wanted to give a go. We were a little skeptical with recent reviews, but wanted to look past it. We took a big container of clothes (the black storage tote with the yellow lid) more than half of them were barely used, with good pairs of jeans. They told us it would take 20 minutes. Walked around for a bit to another store, they finished in 10 minutes. Which was odd considering we brought so much and there was only 2-3 people working, and tending to other customers. We come back, for the cost estimate. “So we did have to pass up everything because it wasn’t the style of the store” odd enough the container didn’t even look like it was touched, the same clothes that were on top when we brought them in, were still on top the very same way. They took one glance “nah we arent gonna go through it” glancing at their prices, they were charging $30 for 1 pair of leggings. Nice, wouldn’t recommend. The staff was very out of it, and not all there.

i’ve been to every plato’s closet in az and i had the worst experience at this one. i brought in a giant bag of great condition brand name clothes and they only took 1 shein top and offered me like a dollar for it. i was also the only person in the store and all the girls working completely ignored me and were very rude. didn’t even receive a simple greeting or anything. i work in retail as well and i could never imagine being that unprofessional and rude to a customer. like if you hate your job that much just quit or somethin and go work somewhere else 😂😂 yall need to hire better staff

The staff in this store would not accept my belongings saying that they smelled of smoke. The problem with that is that I live in a smoke free home, so that is not possible. I called to speak with a manager, but instead of muting the phone, I heard them laughing and making rude comments. The staff is quite young and may end up causing problems for your business.

We came in tonight looking for a few dresses and maybe some other items. While the store was pretty clean service was totally non existent. There were at least four girl employees that were not only just standing around talking to each other they were completely ignoring EVERY single customer in the store. There was no greeting from any of them when we arrived inside, no offer to help and the same thing continued for a few other people that came in after us. We left right after. Don’t think I’d be back just based on that. Someone should let them know customer service is what helps drive sales and keeps them open. Bummer, great concept. Crap service.

Yikes. I’m so sorry. The employees here were respectful, the store clean, and organized. However, I’m shocked at the limited brand and style knowledge. I brought in several new with tags boutique items and they passed on literally everything but the old t shirts I had. They offered next to nothing for those items as well. I personally wouldn’t waste my time unless you want to make nothing. They were selling higher end brands for $6 dollars in there that they just didn’t know. So I guess for buying this place is great.

My mother and I were both racially profiled by this location. When I tried to sell at this location I was turned away and told my shoes smelled of a small smoke odor. I immediately took my shoes to a different location, where they were bought with no issues no odor. My mother had the same issue even though she doesn’t smoke or be around smoke.

The employees here were very rude to my wife and kept snickering as if bringing them clothes to sell is somehow embarrassing which is ironic considering they work there. They looked like they just got out of bed and went to work as one of them was literally wearing sweats, it was unprofessional and kind of trashy. You buy people's old clothes, that's your business model but that's no reason to not have presentable and courteous employees. The offer they eventually gave her was absurd even from a resale standpoint so she declined it and will likely just sell them on Mercari or donate them, either way we won't be going back here to purchase or sell and I wouldn't recommend you do either.

I normally have a good experience at buy-sell-trade stores including Platos. Today is Sunday and many of them are closed so I was happy to see this one is open and buying on Sunday. I check in 2pm and they text a link that shows you the update on the completion plus an estimate time of completion and it showed 330pm. A bit longer than usual, but I'm willing to wait. 330pm comes along and my items haven't been looked through or sorted yet so I call to get another estimate time and was told 45 more minutes. Instead of waiting in parking lot like I did for the first hour and a half, I decide to go get something to eat while I continue to wait. After I was just told it would be 45 minutes, they complete it 15 minutes later but now I've driven away and am stuck in another store. Not even half an hour after they let me know they were done, they send me another text basically saying "hurry up and get your things". I finally get there and pick up my stuff and mention to the girl the wait time was a bit inconvenient and she says yes they had a lot of people bring items in today. Ok fine, but when I called for another estimate and was told 45 minutes (after ive already waited an hour and a half because your system doesnt refresh the time) and I leave to kill time and you finish 15 minutes after that estimate and then text me to hurry up and pick up my things, that's unacceptable. That is a waste of people's time and incompetent and inefficient as a business. I resell clothing part time, but I can assure this place I will never come back and urge others not to either. Seek other ways to sell clothes, don't support a business that doesn't respect your time and also doesn't apologize to you after you complain. If this was my first time selling, I would probably be naive and not know, but when I'm used to the business, your excuses and inefficiency don't go unnoticed.
