Was following behind a Ramms Recycling truck . The dumpster was filled 3 feet over the top with metal. The dumpster was not strapped down or covered. Extremely dangerous! A piece of metal flew out from the top of the truck damaged my car and mechanical parts underneath. I called pasco police and the fhp filed a report. I called the Zephyrhills location and the nice receptionist told me the truck is pulling in now. Then i got transferred to a male manager and he took down my information and told me the owner will call me back. Days went by not a single phone call. Then i spoke to a female manager. Who was not helpful and worthless to say the least. So after trying to nice and just get their insurance information Ramms decided not to be professional and responsible for their actions. I understand they may have independent drivers but florida law requires a load of metal and etc stacked that high to be strapped or covered. They need to follow the law. Independent drivers or not. So i guess they thought i would just forget about my car damage. But i didnt and wont. I took the next steps necessary.

Took 5 minutes to be helped, the guys were standing around talking. When I made eye contact to get help from one of the guys he quickly looked away and moved out of my sight. Made eye contact with another dude who just stared at me until I said something. Also, brought in two large car batteries and got $7 for them both. Doesnt advanced auto give you $10 a piece in store credit? Maybe I’m in the wrong and every scrapyard is as standoffish and weird as this one, I havent been to alot to be honest.

I work where I find a lot of wire discarded from new building construction and solar installations so I collect it, take it home strip it for bare copper. Been to a few places but this is my favorite. No hustle, the staff is friendly, and competitive price. Some people get upset about the price just understand that there are different prices Educate yourself and you won't have any issues. Keep up the good work and thank you.
